They are not going to let a resource like that go to waste ..... BHP etc would not throw their money away on a project that may never happen

The difference between the majority of us and “them” is we are here through the good days and the down days.....they show up as soon as the price shows any weakness and disappear just as quickly when the trend reverses..... pretty sure they’re only using one hand for typing too

Honestly I don’t know it’s all speculation at this stage ..... I believe Newscrest and CGP have more ventures in common than simply Alpala , I also believe getting BHP on board was a defensive move on NM’s part to ward off Newscrest. Having said that by the time Cascabel is fully proven up it should be way beyond the reach of Newscrest.
I the latest interview NM did seem excited by upcoming drilling on other projects and indicated that drilling permits were in place and we were in fact now only waiting on the water permits so there’s plenty to look forward to DBW

Cosmic ..... welcome aboard ( hopefully) re NM I think he and BHP probably know exactly how this is going to play out and as always we will be the last to know ....... BHP are free to move to counter Newscrest or any other suitors who chose to show their hand ..... personally I can’t see him taking this to production unless a JV with BHP and that’s not their preferred MO .
The other piece of advice I would offer is that you become acquainted with your filter button at the earliest opportunity

I know the standstill agreement with BHP expires in the latter half of 2020 , but can someone confirm when the agreement with Newscrest expires please?
I assume at this point BHP are free to counter any move ?

I agree that NM may well want to take this to production, but if one of the big boys wants it bad enough I suspect they’ll get it

Great stuff .....Alpala still growing...... if he’s bluffing about taking this to production he’s doing a very good job.
