Good to see AVM up this morning. i reckon we can be 20p by June 2015

No ones i tersted in AvM. We hardly get any posters here . What I don't get is surely when this all winds up, Elliot have actually lost a serious amount of cash. This is absolutely shocking. I could be holding this stock until 2016 I reckon.

What a mess. So what how can the auditors possibly sign these accounts off as a going concern. I should sue the auditors. So in 2017 this will be gone.

Who wants to visit avocet hq and ask some investor questions. Come on this has to be dead right in 2-3 years. What am I missing about the longevity of avocet here ??

Well gold is up again so quickly hence AVMS price rise. I reckon if gold can just hold consistenyly about $1210 for the most part of 2015, that will help avocet to not make such a massive loss for the year and hopefully return to profit in 2016. Maybe it is time to try selling off some of those licences that are producing no return...to the BOD of Avocet.... Are you listening? DO SOMETHING. Dont just talk about pumping some AIR into the tyres of the trucks. TAKE ACTION. NOW. Merge with some bigger gold producer.

Why on earth is this up when gold is down

A lot,of money being made on afren. I'm not sure if avocets ever going to go up - we could do with a consistent gold price to reflect in the financials. Pretty disappointing tbh. I just wonder how Elliot's going to book it's massive loss on this - surely it's a big enough disaster to wipe Elliot out?

Ok so we have lower costs of production, and generally not as a disasterous impact of machinery damage as I had previously thought. hmmm so lower costs ahead and higher gold prices. But i'm not happy about the short Life of Mine. The big problem is the Life of mine. There is no way Elliot are making their money back on this one I dont think. This penny stock is just about profiting from 3p to 9p on a rollercoaster - thats it now.

FFS, wake up this morning, Rexam and Poundland doing well and these cronies drop their share price.

Im pretty confident we will be at 15pence during the Summer. I think the gold price is going to stay steady around $1,298 for the most part of the year with some surges up to $1,400-$1,500. Given we have lowered production costs I think 2015 could be profitable but we need to see the full 12 months results. 2016 should be good too.

looks like im stuck with draft. Im not actually called draft or daft obviously. I think LSE have messed up when i registered so i might as well be called draft from hereon anyway. I think if Gold gets to $1800 at some point in the year AVM could be looking up to a share price of at least £1, which is a decent return for anyone who gets in at 8p now.

just read the news release, doesn't sound great that production hasnt fully ramped up, 300 workers laid off, but odd comment about reviewing options on all of its sites, almost sounds like a potential SALE is being mulled of something.....

Well its a good start for the Avocet Bird this morning and with ECB news on the way, Avocet looks set to soar yet again. As this is the cheapest Gold miner to buy in its share class and with gold prices headed Northwards, and now Avocet is UNHEDGED, we are only going up baby!

its a cheap price so if anyone is lured in by thinking the gold price will go up, these are cheap shares to buy to take a punt

Actually i was looking at this companys share price chart history and when gold was high back in 2011, this share price was doing well circa £2-£3 a share. I reckon gold can get to $2,000 this year again so Im moving my opinion to a buy.

Not sure why it always calls me draft but anyway. I don't think the cash flow is looking healthier though just over a couple of days of rising gold prices. What amazes me is how Elliot (hedge fund) have squandered hundrededs of millions of loans (esesentially other peoples pension money and savings) into Avocet YET this company has performed AWFULLY. its SP was a staggerring high and now a shocking low. clealry the market does not see Avocet has having any REAL future EARNING POTENTIAL. its good they have tried to reduce the costs but we have not been helped by EBOLA, nor the workers strike. Someone else though has made money from EBOLA etc etc. thats why this news is always released into the press so SPs are affected and someone gains. I wish I was a damn insider. Now I would have thought Elliot would have a lot of INSIDE information and they have not pulled the PLUG on Avocet yet so clealry Elliot are thinking okay lets keep this sucker going until the gold price skyrockets one day.... thoughts everyone??? Cuz this is a TOTAL GAMBLE
