Andover, MA – August 25, 2015 – IntelliSAW, a developer of innovative real-time monitoring solutions for critical assets in electrical power applications, is pleased to announce that their continuous monitoring technology is included in a newly released line of switchgear from Schneider Electric.
IntelliSAW’s wireless, passive technology affords Schneider Electric customers the opportunity to continuously monitor critical junction/contact temperature and report the occurrence of partial discharge events (including surface/corona) allowing for proactive maintenance of these critical assets.
Hallmarks of IntelliSAW’s solution include:
Passive operation: No power source is required, resulting in little to no maintenance for the lifespan of the asset
Highest Safety: Sensors can be mounted to the necessary measurement points (circuit breakers, bus bars, and cable connections) and maintain the original asset safety specification(s)
Robustness: rugged design ensuring long life & survivability from while meeting EMC, IEC, and RF standards
Jeff Jordan, PE, MV Product Design Lead at Schneider Electric, shared:“In keeping with Schneider Electric’s commitment to providing our customers the optimal user experience, we decided to include, as a feature of the HVL/CB product line, the ability to collect real-time data on the health of these assets while they are in operation. After conducting a comprehensive evaluation of available sensing solutions for continuous monitoring we selected IntelliSAW’s CAM system. We found IntelliSAW’s products to be robust and well designed for these rigorous environments thereby meeting the high standards of Schneider Electric.”
Tom Cunneen, CEO of IntelliSAW, commented: “We are very pleased to have been selected by Schneider for their newly released HVL/CB line of switchgear. This success marks a continuation of our developing business relationship with Schneider as we work with their switchgear operations around the globe. We are confident that through working with Schneider, who are a leader in this space, IntelliSAW’s CAM platform will become the standard for critical asset protection in electric power delivery applications.”
The IntelliSAW CAM platform offers a comprehensive solution for continuous monitoring & trending of temperature, partial discharge and humidity enabling predictive maintenance processes for critical assets used in the delivery of electric power.
