I suspect the answer is much more simple. Origin f..ed up on the rig reservation and had to change the program. POQ did not want to press issue with Origin because it is truly does not matter since now Tamboran and Empire doing all the job. Now only problem is retail shareholders who are waiting but they have been waiting for 10+ years so they can wait another year.
Looks like origin is single entity which provide electricity in Australia: Origin Energy's Eraring power station, Australia's largest coal plant. Origin Energy has conceded the nation's electricity system is in “uncharted territory” after the operator seized control of the market in a bid to stabilise the grid and cut the risk of blackouts.
I am thinking there is not direct impact on what we doing in Betalloo but supply in Australia is very tight.

Origin is not O&G company so focus is not there, You can see Santos, Empire, Tamborian are moving forward pushing in some cases they do not even worry too much about crating waves in the media to achieve their timelines. Origin is soo sensitive to the media/elections/politicians it is paralyzing their progress
Nurrdalinji people who are complaining and Tanumbirini title holders appear to be different families so as suspected all BS nonsense and posturing.
4.3.5 Native Title
A Native Title determination (NTD33/2012 Tanumbirini PPL) has been finalised for the Area. This determination grants native title rights to the Kinbininggu and Bamarrngganja groups

One thing guys I had to go with my gut on this one (I still have few shares but my position is much smaller) I feel Sheffield plan is to take falcon to production and his statement few months ago confirms that. Origin as an operator who is not focused and plans that are communicated to us are too fuzzy with no commitments to deliver. If Origin was building my house they would be fired by now. Other guys are focused, determined, communications are acceptable and timelines are solid. When we started this Falcon was only game in town but now we got choices and I am betting on the smaller guys who actually want to grow their companies.
I red and re-read Falcons updates from Jan and May this morning trying to understand the time lines and I am convinced that will see no drilling this year.
1. Update is not clear.
2. Ensign rig 970 already booked by Tambo ( I think that is Crew worked with Origin) and there is not a lot of rigs like that in Australia. I bet Origin failed to secure the rig.
3. There is supply chain issue that impacted fracking operation for Empire and they are delaying their work. So this is global impact, so all drillers are impacted globally and Origin is not exception.
4. Origin is looking to farm down so why would the spend the money now.
5. Amungee site is empty, just dirt.....
Hydrogen, I really hope we will see some action this year. I am still not clear what are teams is doing this year. To me vague time lines is caution Flag. I really would like to have something like 2022 we doing: X ; in 2023 we doing x; in 2024 we doing x; Things can change and based on the situation but with out clear goals things will just float like they been doing for the while now.
