RE: COMPETITION
1st post in Eons
From the below info I would suggest QED figures for savings are light years ahead of these and therefore the potential savings to any clients are far more lucrative than those offered by FOWE
We have successfully tested our patented technology to emulsify fuel oil, which is also known as furnace oil, with 10 to 15 per cent water," he said. "The FOWE emulsified fuel gives better energy yield of about 8 to 10 per cent due to better combustion of fuel."
Hi Sammy,
So very sorry to learn of your sad news about the old man.
Our condelences to you and your loved ones, wishing you balmy seas and red sunsets on your world cruise which hopefully will be imminent.
Hi Noosking,
Yes still hanging on and biting the nails wondering whats going on, even a trickle of news would be helpful from JM.
Hi noosking,
Yes Im still alive & kicking, although slowed down somewhat.
Sad to learn from your post that adoubleuk has crossed the bar, he was quite an avid regular poster from a drilling background.
Hoping this time around that end of month deadlines and beyond can actually be achieved
Hi Noosking
Were doing fine, wife now approaching 4 years post transplant.
Like many Im sure my confidence was high rolling into 2022, and boosted by Jasons last interview.
However my hopes have now been severly dashed at ever breaking even. In fact in all honesty I mentally wrote off my entire six figure investment in QFI as a totally loss.
No moans on my part, I invested so I have to take responsibility.
That said, with the oil price heading north all the while, there will never be a better time to get the product(s) to market.....especially the ultra high volume consumption marine markets, I still think for those lesser shipping companies who dont want to go down the bio fuels market that MSAR could still be considered a transition fuel......... ahhhhh, if only Maersk had completed the LONO for MSAR.
Chin up.....keep smiling.
Crownos.
The QFI Forum has been running for many years.
It is the pretty much the 'GO TO' forum for the best knowledge and posts on QFI .
It is hosted by Tapatalk, but if you Google Quadrise forum, it should take you there, where you can enroll to be a member.
Hope this helps.
dustofnations.
This part had me confused for a number of reasons
1) would the OEM's sanction or approve use of biomsar fuel in their engines without at least a land based run to set up and tweek setting especially if they are advancing the point of fuel injection.
2) MSC would hardly have idle suitable vessels sitting around ? ( or do they) meaning that the set up and adjustments (advancing fuel injection timing) would have to be done on an in service vessel which would probably need to be done with OEM engineers onboard.
My comments only relate to the biomsar as opposed to the MSAR which is already poven.....and Jason doesnt mention if biomsar has been tested in a large slow speed 2 -stroke diesel.
Food for thought.
Dps
do you have a link or web site address to watch it on line.
Thanks
Hi Sammy, Noosking & BP
Yes doing fine & still a believer......hard to believe oil producers & end users are not jumping all over us in this present climate (change).
Wife is 3 years post transplant now and continues to do well.
Heres hoping to some positve news before xmas
Im somewhat supprised that we havent seen any representation by Quadrise at COP29, albeit on the sidelines perhaps grabbing a promtional interview with SKY, BBC or ITN.
Regarding Fossil Fuel, whilst its lifespan may well be reduced to another 30 or 40 years as a definative Fuel, if we consider Fossil "Crude" unless significant technologies emerge that can produce or replace the present derrivatives produced from Fossil Crude then it will remain a viable and neccesary requirement to even produce the components of Green power generation.
Even the conductors carrying the electrical power from windfarms are insulated in materials produced from Fossil Crude.
Common sense YES to those in the industry and in the KNOW, but in the Public domain very doubtful and COP26 would of given us Global coverage........and perhaps may have even leaked to the Bla, Bla, Bla climate activists to show there are companies out there offering a cleaner transition through the next 30 or 40 years and possibly beyond.

Well with a F8 Tributo costing £204k I'd want £2 million from MSAR (or Bio) before I'd spash out, and Im afraid we are some ways off that......but still feel that is very doeable.
My daily drive is a lowly Merc 180D, fantastic mileage, weekend drive is a Merc SL63 AMG in Diamond White.....scarey when unleased......and at my age, its a struggle even to get in that.
I was pleased to hear of a NDA with Pemex, they were on the horizon back in 2011 when I first invested here.
And from experience Pemex really needs to clean up their act.
I worked offshore Campeche back in 2001 -2002 as C/E onboard a DSV and recall the sun being blocked out by thick black smoke from every flare stack, with thick black oil running down the flare stacks into the sea.
Then as political turmoil took over, Permex dissapeared from the portfoilio........sounds more positive this time around......especially with the surge towards "Green"
Singapore seems to have dissapeared from the portfolio which back in the day seems to be very lucrative.
As a final note I was just 10 "thou" away from that elusive 'X' on Botb from winning a Maclaren Artura this week.
Think I've got more chance with MSAR
dps
The saying goes that money doesnt buy happiness.....
But
If MSAR buys me a Ferrari F8 Tributo I'll be extremely happy
??
I live in hope
Probably more confident now since the KSA & Maersk buoygate fiascos
Depends upon the model.
The most common models used particually on cruise ships and even on some drilling rigs were the Wartsila Vassa 32 & 46, although there is now a newer more efficient model the Wartsila 31

I stand corrected, you are in fact correct it was Desire oil/water fiasco.
We were actually doing some seismic on the Sealion field
I was also invested in Argos, Rockhopper & Fogl.
Recall working down in the Falklands on a seismic job for a joint venture between Argos and Rockhopper.
Recall it was a cold Thursday in December 2010 when Rockerhopper declared an oil find, which disastrously turned to water the following Monday, needless to say their sp slumped overnight.
On a plus side think 2021 is our (QFI) year for the coming of age
In 1994 had a short spell working onshore.
In this case I was running a boiler on a drill site during a well test program in Northern Russia (Pechora) during winter.
The normal ambient temperature was -32°C, and actually dropped to a low of -60°C, but the site kept going once we got the generators re-started, after the diesel froze
Brrrrrrrrr???
Thanks, Sammy & BP, always been in, never out??
Hopefully this is our year.
Best wishes
Think I posted 4 or 5 years ago my actual field experience of using ultra low sulphur fuel, in this case it was MGO 0.03% Wt sulphur.
Management had decided to phase in early major overhauls of the on-board engines at 12,000 hours instead of 16,000 hours.
The installation comprised of 6 x 9 cylinder Wartsilla 9L20 engines.
Observations of the fuel pumps which were the jerk type showed premature wear of the fuel pump plungers and barrels, such that the majority of these components had to be renewed.
Wartsila recommendations were to renew these at 40,000 + hours, so clearly using ultra low sulphur fuel contributed to extremely early wear.
The bottom line always has and always will be in the boardrooms of shipping companies be all about $$$$.
This applies to safety as well.
Most if not the majority will comply to the bare minimum to keep them afloat and earning.
Best wishes to all for xmas and 2021
Well done BP.
Keep polishing your crystal ball and keep us up to date with QFI's future.
Best wishes
