I have simplified things down……for Bangladesh to help itself with big policy changes for using fossil fuels that leaves nothing for the pigs in the throne room……paint everything green means bungs galore for solar ,wind ,hydro,nuclear……the administration of billions and billions of dollars of green loans will be skimmed……and the big win win for Yunus is Bangla still stays poor and grammeen mops up…….what is the difference between Hasina skimming the fossil fuel imports and smiler bunged with the green Bangla transition?……not a lot…..this is my personal opinion……

Thailand refurbishing coal plants……key word cheap electricity

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) is planning to refurbish two coal-fired power generation units in a move to extend their service life and prolong the supply of low-cost electricity to the country.

Refurbishment of power generators refers to carrying out only necessary maintenance of machinery in order to increase efficiency without a need to repower, or completely rebuild the facilities.

The plan is part of Egat's efforts to help curb the power tariff, which is used to calculate electricity bills, as coal is an inexpensive fuel, said an official who requested anonymity.

Gas article from last week……yes it’s about gas but a very comprehensive explanation about the cost savings using own resources and the length of time to get the gas to production…..once again it’s too little too late with Bangladesh and exploration should have been committed years ago……

If they see the economic sense with this own gas that is years away from production then the phulbari scheme is an absolute sitter to get going when the right energised minister comes along!!

Worth a watch on catchup,brings home many of the issues the poor Bangladeshis are facing,in brief Zambia 65% of its lecky is hydro and the water is running out so they have sparked up a discontinued coal power plant!!…..sadly it’s too little too late and everything is shutting down businesses etc,no power no business……locals cutting down trees to make charcoal to heat homes and cook with…….rooftop solar only for those that can afford it,batteries too expensive so medical centres packing drugs into ice boxes when sun goes down…….it’s a pity they don’t put that on big screen in Azerbaijan and force old farts like Yunus to watch it 😡

just read an article…..****stan has jumped on the home/business solar bandwagon because of instability in electricity supply and high costs…..article jabbers on about saving the planet etc….more panels the better but at the end of the article a power company exec says it’s all fine but it’s a death spiral because the customers of the electric companies that are left are burdened with the huge infrastructure maintenance costs so costs continue to rise!!……water companies use electricity to pump water to communities and they are struggling to pay the rising bills so water supplies are intermittent!!…….wow….we are going back to the neolithic period 🙄

So the next bright idea from smiler is rooftop solar on factories….my heart sinks saying it!!……do they know how unstable these off grid systems can be??….business owners have to saddle themselves with these cuckoo ideas,the cost,the unreliability…..a lot of these factories are working 24/7 so best case if there’s any decent sunshine they may get an 6-8hr contribution to power machinery!!……..

my last post this evening,for all that’s been posted this last few days,and the green terror this nutter yunus could heap on the impoverished country of bangla…..i’m absolutely certain what ever this cuckoo administration implemented it could and should be undone by the next govt if it burdens the already strained economy……i’m certain sanity will prevail when the politicians get back the charge of the country…….

bbc news has just said the us under biden will go charging into cop29 with a raft of delusional promises but the certainty is trump will kill the policies dead upon taking office so it’s very unlikely anyone else will really commit….the same will happen in bangladesh…..yunus will blow the budget on green ****e then the politicians that come after will have to pick up the pieces and sense should prevail…….
