State corporation Petrobangla, which was 'made to commit' supplying natural gas to the gas-fired power plants, doesn't have sufficient gas to run the existing gas-fired power plants, says a senior Petrobangla official.

Petrobangla is currently being able to supply only half of the volume of gas required for feeding the gas-guzzling power plants, to the tune of around 1,034 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd), against a total requirement of 2,420 mmcfd, according to official data as on March 24, 2025.

The interim government clearly stated they were forming a coal policy for the next government……you would really think as that policy was shaping up publicly that would gear up Gcm as the week’s progress and I personally think it still will?…..so why raise 3/4 months before the cash is needed?…….are they accelerating development?…..have some of the surveys got to be renewed and more consultants brought onboard…….or as you say have finances got to be in place?………I’m very positive

I did raise this point Friday…….I wondered if there were investors/institutional small caps that were struggling to get the stock they needed without setting the price alight?……very strange they split the results/raise?
