PYUECK, you do provide some really good information to this forum to be fair, and you could have made a lot of money from FGP just one example you said in a previous post you sold in March this year you sold some of your shares at the £1.20 to £1:30 mark not sure exactly but for you to do this you must have thought FGP was expensive?
And you called it right only one small mistake you should have sold all your shares,
Ok I saw it the same as you I sold up as well at £1:36 but what I did then I shorted the share and cleared my short at 36p I made over £50k I then saw value and bought back in 3 buys at a average of 34.5p costs all in.
My point being we are mostly of the same opinion but I took advantage of my experience of FGP and turned it to my advantage.
I really do wish you all the best and I do like your posts, some really good factual points,
Please keep it up.
Back to today market having a bit of a sell off today and Most transport giving back about 5% or more so first group are not doing to bad, well still early doors.
Ps being totally honest I sold up at 39p and taken a £7k profit it might be a mistake only time will tell but a profit in these markets has to be banked.
Looking to buy back in tho at the 35p level hope I can but never look back it’s done now.
Good luck all DI BEG out.
Well over the past 8 years I have traded FGP and I have made over £160k, and another 5k again today if I sell up again.
I have retired at 50 and FGP Helped so I am not going to bite the hand that feeds me.
Ps it was not down to luck I know what I am doing.
I buy, and sell, and short stocks
One thing for sure I don’t ***** and moan I just get on with it and watch the cash keep rolling in.
Ps, Women also buy shares.
But I do agree way oversold and the 6% rise today was in line with the transport sector in general all went up.
Myself I can see 40p by Friday but only as the share price and the transport sector is down 70% or so from March,
But is worth a gamble as one thing is for sure the sector will recover in time.
Take your pick FGP NEX GOG SGC STOB all taken a bashing.
Good luck all myself I like FGP.
Davde, first apologies spell check changed your name and I did not notice.
First yes first part of my post was in reply to some of your points and I was of the same view as you.
Just saying first would point out they are vulnerable even if they had pots of cash and The Fur we agree also but first group only care for themselves and as soon as the FUR finishes they will through any unwanted staff off the bus and under the wheels not even looking in the mirrors,
First stopped doing anything just over 2 years ago that cost them money.
If it’s at a loss they don’t do it.
The amount of redundancy payments made in the last two years is also shocking and most want out now as they have made it very hard work there and the rats are jumping ship.
Ps did not suggest you short first group, read my post again.
Thanks again I was only adding my view to the pot and giving feedback to members posts.
This is a opportunity to make a bit of cash forget the £1:30 before March 2020 look at 35p today,
Buy, don’t buy if you are uncomfortable in any way walk away but if you see it like I do put your money down wait a while and make some serious cash.
Davies, subsidy levels: would you tell the government you don’t need their money?
When FUR runs out it won’t pay staff to do nothing so very likely job losses unless they run a normal service which I don’t think they will bye to some.
Most people who have to use a bus do so as they don’t have a choice ie cheap option or travel for free parking cost car cost so on so on,
Cars are not wanted in city so bus is going to be the only choice, the government know this and will have no choice but to support FGP Stagecoach National express so on:
Jchrist, Risky really the risk has been priced in, and it’s way overdone in my view,
All shares have a risk its go up, stay the same, or go down. Make your choice if you think is going down Short the share? But bet you won’t?
Stradyeddguy you see it like I do and I will leave it there good luck don’t think you will need it tho you are in at a great price.
Pyueck you do have lots of interesting opinions and nothing wrong with that it all adds to the pot,
But you seem to be glass half full myself there are hundreds of stocks I think are garbage and I stay 100% away from them and would not waste my time or energy on them, might short them tho?.
Good luck all and have a safe weekend.
Ok I understand why share holders are unhappy, but this share has been beaten down by markets you name it and first group have paid the price for it but as I said i am a buyer at this price, changed my 32p 10k buy order and bought again at 34.39p so have 35k at 34.5p average and i think the share price recovery is about to begin,
Not to the £1:40p level but can see 70p short term ie Christmas.
Every eventuality has been priced in now even a second wave first will make changes I am sure of that can see jobs cuts but first group will rebuild its brand from here and become stronger and learn from its mistakes and I have my money behind them.
If you don’t believe don’t BUY your loss keep your money in the bank? Or invest else where.
There is no chance of a fire sale and there will always be public Transport, we all have opinions but I can’t believe the total doom and gloom it’s far from over.
First don’t need to try hard to point out poor them ie Snow ice lack of drivers so on, CV19 they are making the most out of it they can like all others,
60% off lower paid staff on FUR the top staff over 2.5k a month are all in work SHAMEFULLY 80% for them,
And the government are paying millions in top ups to keep bus and trains running,
Same in the USA.
I have 9000 shares in my BAYE cost me average £1.20 and if I sell I pay tax and NI, Cost around £10 worth about £3k now Lol, poss break even in 5 years.
The Directors are buying also at these new lows so this is a massive opportunity I think so I bought 10k yesterday at 35.14p and £15k today at 34.59p and I will buy more again on this dip.
Things will get better might take some time but 34p joke price buy buy buy.
I am and I am not rapping the share as I want more cheap shares you can do what you like and good luck to all.
A 52 seater bus is to carry 10 passenger only!
A Double decker is to carry 20 passengers only.
So if you are standing waiting for a bus and the blind on the front will say Full due to social distancing.
Good luck getting to wherever you need to go.
The driver will be held accountable for Loading “poor Driver”.
Well big day for FGP tomorrow !
Trading update,
FGP no not need much of a excuse to look to pass the buck and blame it on anything but them self’s so we can all look out tomorrow?
I have held shares for 8 years in first and have heard it all so I won’t be shocked tomorrow.
Good luck hope I call it wrong but I think not ;-(
Icartz my point is that card that card should never have gone to this level,
40p is too low, £1:00 is more realistic if you DYOR even with all that’s gone wrong it’s very cheap today it’s being held back and I can’t work out why.
But things need to change going forward in today’s new world.
40p soon?
Card is in a right mess damage was done by Christmas trading update I bought in early January at £1:44 so 40p lol.
Damage was done before Covid 19 and this is why it don’t seem to be recovery like other stocks.
1 card need to shut around 50% of their stores way too many,
And don’t open anymore.
2 go more towards on line sales shops have their day look at Boohoo
3 use our dividend cash and cash in the bank to turn this bloody mess around
4 get rid of the directors and get the right people in place to turn card around.
Myself I think card will turn around but 5 years to see it at the £2:00 to £3:00 level.
Lol,
I can’t see it myself.
I hope your right and I am wrong as I would like card to recover as I could try to recover my loss.
But myself think this will take 5 years plus and the divi gone now as well.
A big Director buy would be nice but can’t see that,
Any news from card will be rubbish so no news is good news.
My opinion as a long turn share holder.
Lol 80% down how to turn 20k in to £4K in just over 3 months I need a 350% rise just to break even,
Head need to roll here? Or at the very least what the hell has gone so wrong?
And don’t blame CV19, your Christmas update did the damage.
I know I gold stock but I can’t give you any reason to buy this dog but at the same time not taking a 16k loss I would rather lose it all,
What a total dog.
I know I am down big time on card as my average is at £1:44 can’t see £1:80 to £2:00 any time soon but I do see 48p good value but the Spread is outrageous and it’s put me off top in up.
I fully understand that I am going to take a loss here but in no hurry to sell.
