Interesting that he has joined the board of Kainos, in the same role as with Bytes. I do wonder if eventually the two companies will merge, but in the meantime close co operation should be of benefit to both. Both well run companies that have run into headwinds of late.

My thoughts too, have sold. Got caught with Bytes, do not need another!

Just returned from our M&S and all is working normally.

It could take months to find a suitable candidate, then a hand over period, so 2026 is probably realistic. I have confidence in Amanda Blanc. Better to take time and get it right.

I agree. I think the almost certain CGT changes are causing much of the recent selling. She has certainly done a lot of damage to confidence. Not long now. Hope she doesn’t mess with ISAs, perhaps she will abolish stamp duty on shares bought in an ISA, wishful thinking?

What is Karen Larking Head of Customer Services doing? Does she ever read reviews? She has been with Wickes long enough to have sorted the problems. We have a very nice new Wickes store nearby which encouraged me to buy shares at the beginning of the year, but on reading about bad experiences from reviewers on kitchens and bathrooms, not just on Trustpilot but elsewhere too, it made me think again. The problem seems to be that when things do go wrong it is customer services which is completely useless and just gives you the run around. In my opinion Wickes is not a very attractive investment, too much risk of things going badly wrong. Yes, the economy doesn’t help, but is the word getting around and people are starting to avoid Wickes for kitchens and bathrooms? So, I think it is a risk not worth taking. As I said much better opportunities elsewhere.

The key consequences caused by poor customer service are customer dissatisfaction, difficulty to attract new customers, incurring additional costs, and losing revenue. Customers will not come back and will also tell others about their bad experiences. Why risk your money on Wickes when there are far better companies to invest in? Wouldn’t touch Kingfisher either!

I was a shareholder but sold recently because of the appalling customer service I had read about. I was concerned that eventually this would impact on sales. Just look at some of the stories on Trustpilot. It is not a share I would be happy to hold at the moment. Management needs to get a grip.

I think 4.48, be surprised if it is higher, be delighted if it is!
