@SI
shame about the result today. I never thought it would tank below 1C.
Anyhow, just wondering why you are topping up this morning? Do you expect a 2nd life for ADV?
I ask as i am mulling too. My initial thoughts are ADV is dead but obviously emotions are running high this morning.
@SI
agree. I am fully derisked now with a few million "free" ADV shares. Lets see where the sp flies.
Seems like the sp is churning again. I suspect we will be staying around 70-80p then break?
Reminds me of ADV after the raise at 2.6p, it stayed awhile around 2.2p which i took advantage off before breaking out to 5+p now.
Time to top up on TGR ..
Same here. I just ignore but i know what you mean.
I have the same view (as oil analyst) after reading the RNS but i am not a geo. I did top up on that RNS, which i havent done for awhile.
Would be good to hear from our in house (BB) geo man on his view.
@curator, No. Leave it at 10,000 shares at the moment. We can add later.
@sgf
"I often wonder how much traders make compared to long-term investors (for example, ShareInvestment and his strategy of holding for several years and buying in early)."
I concur - my wife HODLers her shares and i buy and sell. Just within a 12 months period, she's way up in % profit than i have.

Cant agree more on your statement:
(The "problem" with short term trading (anywhere between a few minutes to a few weeks) is that it requires a tremendous amount of self-discipline and emotional detachment from the stock to be successful.)
As a newbie on CFD (VIX and Brent contracts), I had learned that the hard way recently. All for letting emotions kick in and letting my eye off the ball (for an hour?) when i should have not even traded. Should have followed the tried and tested mantra, when you hit your target, stop.
Back to ADV, a few more days left, not long now. GLA.
Wyn
24 hours is long if you trade on a 5 min candle... (brent contracts for example). Its all relative.

Curator had answered your query (thanks).
Ps: Curator is my lil bro (16 years younger but not as good looking) and KIST was his share pick not mine. We run a portfolio between us.
They just need to raise enough equity to land the debt, whatever ratio it will be, whether its RBL or bonds (bond market have moved) with maybe junior debt from offtaker through a syndicate.
Its all doable, its a matter of cost of financing and what (ADV) will be left with after the cash waterfall have been agreed with the debt providers. CPR does not include cost of financing in their calcs. Those costs wont be trivial
Hello Jim
I strongly believe in the companies' business plans and models - SPX, TM1 both of which i invested pre IPO. Ive actually added quite a lot of TM1 shares after listing, doubling my share count to date and will add at every dip.
I couldnt get into KIST pre IPO so bought them on IPO day. I suspect at the current sp, you are likely to get better gains with other shares , TM1 is a great example.
I was late on TGR so entered and exited a few times for short term gains, but my last entry was good, sub 70 (luck) so will keep them especially now they are into production.
Tempted to add more on SPX - need to check my money tree :) i
ONT as of this morning became my second largest shareholding. Will it perform better than TM1 or TGR from a multiple upside stand point? I dont think so, not a chance. But i am a sucker for what could be a game changer technology. I was a big investor in Illumina before but sold all and parked them in ONT.
Sincere apologies everyone for muddling this BB with other shares
@sgf
Lets hope this one gets to 7x at a min. Searching for the next sets of 5-10x shares for 2022 now. :)
I was a bit short on my expectation of £5 by xmas 2021. No matter.
Lets see if we can hit £8 by xmas 2022.
GLA. By far my biggest holding and been in since IPO - still HODLing.
Wow. Big jump. Marvelous. 10p! Come on.
@dai
Been in and out and last entry was pure luck.
Did you just bought into ADV ? I had assumed you bought in early (<2.6p) when it was mentioned on the other BB.
Dai,
KIST remains the star buy at 106p (bulk buy) and my largest holding by far- i am hoping (keyword here) to see ADV come close to KIST's performance. ADV is my 4th largest holding behind ONT and TGR. (TGR entry at 66p is thanks to SI who mention it)
Added 10,000 shares at 599 /600/601 over a few trades
@sgf
Welcome back to virtual land.
Speculating the film industry will see a boom in the next 24 months, this could be a good investment- bought 10,000 shares.
