Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Thanks for the reply Matty! Id heard there were some drill results due so thought id take a punt. Have kept an eye on GGP for about 18 months now but havent really been on this board since I sold out a year or so ago. I have been reading some of the discussions between share price and asset value. Clearly GGP is a great company and I hope to invest more in the future.
I bought back in again this morning, have been catching up on some of the RNS and general board discussions. How does Newcrest purchasing another 5% of HAV translate into shareholder value? Apologies if it's a naive question. My thoughts are 1) the share price would adjust accordingly (in an ideal world with no MM manipulation), 2) might they consider a special dividend? 3) Or would the extra finances be used to progress the business activities? I'm thinking 1 and 3 but 2 would also be nice. Thanks
GTR R35 is my dream, stage 4+. I drove the 800bhp GTR made for the fast and furious live shows on a track day last year and grinned from ear to ear =D
well this is a curve ball I didnt see coming. Will await Thursdays trading update with anticipation
Theres a trading update due shortly. Hopefully all positive news and a tick up on the SP coming
I have a suspicion Roberts brain ran down his dads leg
Totally agree with you feileb. I have 3 sharesave policies with Kier at 86p, 56p and 96p, on top of my sipp that will give me over 20k shares. I expect to make a tidy profit at those prices or a nice dividend would also be acceptable. I doubt there will be any major swings in the share price until we get this years financial results and they are positive. Healthy order book and net profit should see this into the £2-£3 range without issue.
Fair enough Lenoman, I get the same pleasure in winding up scammers that phone me up. I wonder if he does that as a side hustle =)
Why are you all wasting time with this pleb? Obviously has a reason to be here, feebly attempting to sow seeds of doubt and it's not for our benefit. I don't like to filter as always good to hear opposing views but this guys game is weak. Now I have a grand total of 3 on my filter list lol
Don't feed the trolls!
RIP JT 68 bought
Is JORC the last duck to be lined up or any other news expected before the BIG one?

Fair play, good to have him at the helm. Doing a solid job at Kier.
Steve, they have cleared their debt and produced a small profit. Regardless of how they did it, they did it. What's their forecasted profit for this coming year? 100+mil?
Yes Jim, they really should have stopped them earlier when the debt was piling up. Though debt used to be a good thing and now it's not. Hey ho, at least they are out the other side!
And I said it is a daft comment as the RNS states, dividends are a mid term goal.
Respectfully Jim, you can hear it all. Steve has alterior motives and nothing anyone says on this BB will stop him with his constant negativity on Kier. I am defending a company I am invested in, am postive about and am also entitled to my opinion.
Obviously there is no dividend, why would you pay dividends when you are turning the ship around? That is just a daft comment. I think everyone would agree it would be unwise to start paying dividends at this point. My guess is another year and if things go well as I expect they will they can think about dividends again.
"they will take their big payday, for turning it around, and leave before it all hits the fan" = Utter tripe lmao
I've done very well from Kier shares thank you very much. Were not talking life changing money but I'm a happy man.
So your saying that one of the biggest contractors in the country is not aware of this and made allowances? A company that has worked so hard over the past few years to bring itself into a positive cash position is going to repeat the same mistakes? All that future proofing down the drain because not one of the 11k staff in Kiers employment know there are ongoing issues with supplier and materials...
The construction industry in general is down as a whole but yet your account is wholly dedicated to putting a negative spin on Kier.
On a lighter note, have you had any offers on your old tear stained Kier uniform yet?
Ah and here comes Stinkleys backscratcher... Another agenda driven account wholly dedicated to shining Kier in a negative light and attempting to worry investors. Though reading back through your previous comments I did get a laugh at how outlandish and incorrect the predictions you have made are. Joker!! lol
This question is always going to cause debate on a forum. I have taken out 2 bank loans, the first was for EUA. I took a topup in December last year thinking a sale was 'imminent' and got a few kn0bby comments regarding it. I got the loan ok but when tried transferring the funds I got put through to their fraud department, this was due to the VPN I was using which put me in another country. I was honest with them the whole time and about the reason for the loan. He was more interested in if it was a legit loan rather than the purpose of it. I think I picked 'other' in the reason for loan section of the application and when the fraud office asked me what the money was for I told him it was for an investment. There were no issues. I don't regret getting the loan, I could afford it but obviously regret the timing as I bought in December which gave me a high average but that's stocks and shares for you, hindsight is a traders dream.
I got offered cheap shares in the company I work for a few months ago. It was a no brainer, I took a larger loan and flipped the shares with around 50% profit, bought a pool table and pumped the rest into EUA almost slicing my average in half. I am now at my maximum risk position in EUA. I wish I had more dry powder available for more topups but I will not be taking any further loans as it would put me outside my comfort zone and will see this deal to conclusion.
Ask yourself, if I take a loan for say 12 months and it takes 12 months to get any money back or lose it. Will I still be comfortable mentally and financially? I would not be taking a loan unless I could honestly answer yes to those questions.
