Only guessing here but part of the injection process is to control the Joules Thomson effect, basically stops everything icing up. I can see this as a safety issue, as well as the high pressures required to inject the inhibitors etc.
Sanchez599, BKT are taking a phased approach to their facility and relying on revenue from Phase 1 to pay for phase 2, and repeating the process until 6 workstreams are installed. Don't know how physically close and what road infrastructure is like, but ACP should try to contract BKT to process their bulk feed. Save building a plant themselves. Investors are still waiting on news of Phase two of the FEED, nearly a year after Phase 1 FEED complete. The information provided by FEED Phase 2 dictates the funding levels required and should give an idea of cost and time schedules. BOD need to get this asap.
Alpinestar111, have to agree with you re S-Curves, my take is the 93% progress relates to Project Earned Value, and they are well into commissioning phase. This without doubt is the most important phase, as the project team should be demonstrating the quality of their work meets the standards expected. (20 yrs experience in Engineering Projects, about 5 were in the Southern North Sea though mainly onshore at Atwick and Easington)
Lets say the Market makers have a bit more knowledge than we do, and they want to make more money out of us poor sods. A wee lowering of the SP and suddenly people are panicked into selling before the big announcement. Hold tight and good luck.
PipeDragger, I was at Atwick Salt Cavity when the drill company dropped a drill string into one of the cavities. Lot of red faces that day, but situation was recovered eventually. LOL
Nearly a year since ACP announced completion of Phase 1 of Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) by Xinhai and Phase 2 was about to start. If the BOD wants to update the shareholders regarding the current status of Phase 2 that would be invaluable and reassuring for us long term holders. The stated aim of Phase 2 "Phase Two of the work involves the completion of remaining necessary engineering to develop an EPC fixed price contract". Surely this is complete by now.
If anybody wants a visual demonstration of an intelligent PIG, there are several James Bond films that show them, eg The World is Not Enough, has a great scene where JB tries to disarm a bomb travelling along the inside of a pipeline. Slightly different but you get the picture. Anyway not long now final commissioning must be nearly complete. GLA and hold on tight.
Both my trades (Buys) this morning, not reported correctly on this site. This is a common issue here.
BM Thanks for the info, I have found successful projects require a Project Director / Champion with drive, but must be supported at BOD level. The lack of info / announcements since the Mine licence award, makes me sceptical.
Absolutely not a deramp, just pure frustration that the months waiting for a licence have been wasted. No need for the insults. In UK I'm a member of the Association Of Project Management, and have an MSc in Engineering, and various other engineering qualifications. My comment come from experience of managing major projects in Oil Gas and Nuclear sectors. Work should have been ongoing whilst waiting for Licence, so that they hit the ground running when licence was granted. They have fell flat on their face if this is their first major appointment.
Stunned that ACP has only just employed a Project Director. Who has been running the Front End Engineering so far? What have the BOD been doing the past year? while waiting on the ML. I am a very long term holder, and thought finally things were looking up. Not sure there will be anything out the ground before next December now. My background is Project management in Oil and Gas construction so I will hold the BOD responsible for such an amateurish approach. Very disappointed.
