Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
A great RNS to sum up a great trading year so far. Step by step we're getting near to the potential this company has always shown.
Absolutely massive stats post-year end:
· Subscription agreement with FLFL to invest additional £10.5m
· Q1 FY2020 GOV increased by 104% to £4.82m (Q1 FY19: £2.36m)
· Q1 FY2020 Trading margin increased to 21%
· Q1 FY2020 Web traffic growing strongly, up 148% to 26.35m (Q1 2019: 10.6m)
· Q1 FY2020 Conversion rates recovering to 1.3%
Good luck all.
Massive ad campaign. I'd love to see the brand lift surveys you can do off the back of this which shows the impact on awareness, consideration and intent to purchase (importantly!)
Not to discredit the value too much as this is still an amazing awareness driver, but I'd imagine most are are paid for views. ~5p per view you're looking at a quite an investment...
hats off to you chap!
First revenue out of FLF and a great bit of validation! The start of a re-rate I think is coming....
Pascha - there are also many reasons why sales are down, many 'off-site' reasons and I'm very confident we've turned that corner and are on the up now.
I am very skeptical of mobile web traffic. Especially in India. It is of course worse in the developing world as in most cases they simply don't have the fraud detection technology. Quite honestly, most sites in the "developed" (and i use that term loosely) have very poor fraud detection. It's quite staggering in some cases and in many complicit. Increased web traffic on sites with dodgy ad network placements = more revenue.
Although Koovs.com isn't one of these the quality of that traffic should still be questioned.
I may well be wrong and has a LTH here i hope i am!
Sorry, only just able to come back to this.
Jambon - this is true, for "US consumers". You know Indian consumers are very different. I tried to dig out some stats to back this up - but alas they evade me. Even the UK market is only just maturing into one which converts on mobile web - and even then, not a lot.
That is not to say this traffic (if not fraudulent) is not valuable. It is no doubt having impact on our brand awareness and CRM collection, however it's sales we want. There is also an unknown impact on path to purchase (conversion attribution as it's known) - i.e 1st visit on mobile web on the go - followed up my a converting desktop visit etc etc
Farmertally - this is mobile web only, not app. If I get time today i'll pull those stats for you good people.
adeje65 - cheers ol boy. It's funny what happens when you base your opinions off cold hard facts isn't it!
GLA!
Some very upbeat stats for last month guys. I've referenced as far back as I've got access, which is Jan 18.
3M visits (Jan 18 - 1.7M)
Crucially, desktop visits up markedly - 700k in Dec 18 against 478k in Jan. I say crucially as I would expect this will be where the majority of revenue comes from. LOTS of mobile web visits I would say are mostly browsing traffic - IMO.
Starting to see that marketing budget come through too with 165k visits coming in through display ads.
If KOOV are maintaining a profitable margin and conversion rate then i'd imagine our next trading update would be a rare gem :)
Bets on a very sizeable delayed trade after the bell?!
Finally in. KOOV is now 80% of my pf. Not my usual strategy but i'm confident the next two years will be transformative here.
Not filling. Called broker and they're not willing to let em go at current price. I smell something afoot!
Getting "exchange check failed" error when trying to confirm order. Usually means a volatile quickly moving market...but price hasn't changed all session.
Any bright sparks here know what's going on?
What absolute tosh. The UK and Indian retail markets are incomparable.
You really should get a new broker ol chap
from the MMs to allow us to accumulate at sub8p yesterday.
classic lunchtime rally being set up here imo
Are in. Not a pretty picture as expected.
However the future looks very bright. Fantastic to get a statement from Biyani too!
It takes some balls or plain ignorance to be a shorter. Very dangerous having open shorts on this share right now if you ask me!
Very simple IMO.
Impatience.
Uncertainty.
