Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Morning
I would suggest that there probably isn't any SF6 in the actual VRFB unit that we would produce. I would say the SF6 would become present in our 'electrical system' when the switchgear gets introduced between the vrfb and the 'grid'.
Vacuum circuit breakers are available, I'm guessing they are cheaper to purchase hence the volume of SF6 gear that is installed instead.

Hopefully thats a link to the Schneider Electric search page.
I Am Solar and Environmental Energy Investments (Scotland) Limited are in a similar position.
PSL was LED lighting? Can't really see a link between domestic down-lighters and Electricity Transmission/Distribution (National Grid/DNO levels)?
Let's hope we don't follow the ADME trend! Largest investor sold up and a massive drop in the share price!
mywineman, I've not heard that before, could you point me in the direction of your information?
I don't have a smart meter at the moment.
Thanks
Just thinking through the 'everyone arrives home and charges their car' scenario. Could it be the case that if the chargers are able to link to a network that also holds smart meter 'real-time' data the chargers would be able to 'work' out what could be drawn by each charging unit.
The smart meters work out if there is currently high/low demand on that part of the network and adjust the charger output to suit.
Perhaps this could lead to a subscription service (money for the government); if you plug your car in at 6pm and don't require it before 7am perhaps this could be a 'free' option. The chargers and meters will work out when your car can be charged during the evening/night.
A 'paid' option could allow your car to be charged as a priority over other vehicle, before 12/2/4 etc.
This could reduce the burden of upgrading the existing LV or 11kv networks.
Just my thoughts, happy to be corrected etc....
Can I also add 'location' to Ken's question. Will we require large storage at the remote ends of the network, or could this be handled centrally?
Panora are up ~5% today so hopefully thats something good to take away from today.
*Alfa (sorry)
Hi Alpha, thank you for the link detailing the investor trip.
I couldn't see anything in there about the possible location of a mini grid though? Not sure if we got our wires crossed (bad joke intended)
Fancy sharing :)
Has anyone been to Vametco? If so, is there an area on the site that you think the mini grid equipment might be installed? Gonna keep an eye on Google Maps over the coming months to see if Google updates and something new appears.
Hi Alpha. Sorry if you've already seen this, within the OFGEM rns is NGs initial report. Sets out the timeline for the events and also addresses the network rail, Newcastle airport and Ipswich hospital issues.
RNS released by OFGEM following the Nation Grid report into the power cut. Hopefully some good recommendations for increasing battery storage to help prevent any future events.
I like this from AV 'AfriTin is on track to create the FIRST revenue-generating, conflict-free asset in our portfolio'
+1
Neil, I saw that and wondered if it was sat there waiting for an RTO, or is that not possible with a dormant company?
What would peoples opinion be if Green Lithium was the target?
Just been having a quick look through companies house at AGs various commitments. A few changes occuring.
I thought Gamba was an error, but did a quick search and found this
