I remember Xmas 2020 when AFC and PHE had massive increases day after day (I sold most of my holdings for a healthy profit). Saw both of them at record lows and topped up these last few weeks and seeing these rises I can't help but get cautiously giddy and reminiscent!! Hopefully we can recreate this year!
Just for context guys, I work in construction and have never been on a site that does not have some equipment hired from speedy on it. I think this is a massive step in pushing our generators onto construction sites and I look forward to placing an order for one once they become available!!!
Am I stupid to think that the RNS was decent enough? seem to be on target etc. Is the drop more to do with rate hikes than the companies performance? I'm feeling like this is a good top up point as long as the rate hikers don't send us spiralling into recession. But I'm up 40% so maybe these drops don't hurt me as much as they should
I know we are all waiting on confirmation of orders but has anyone put any thought into how large an order would be required for the sp to progress to the last broker note price given which I think was £1.91. Curious to have people's thoughts as I'm almost worried that if the order news comes and it's quite small will there be a disappointing sp performance
I'm in a similar boat Thompi. Not sure what to do, I think I'll just forget about this company but hold the shares to see what happens. I'm too far down to sell and I've lost all faith to think about putting more in to average down
Thanks guys that's really helpful. I agree about the sentiment due to the last placing but sentiment can be fickle and I think if they can get the first lake to a place where it can fund the the next one this will be a multibagger. So let's hope the momentum keeps up on the construction/production side and the SP will follow.
Out of curiosity has anyone here done a calculation to see how much income would be achieved once the plant is in production at full capacity? Would be interesting to do a sp prediction based on a moderate PE ratio and see where we are in comparison
Is anyone else baffled by the stagnation of the sp?? Commissioning is underway. There's been good PR over the last few months. I just don't understand the lack of interest from the market. I'm happy to hold on as I think there are substantial gains to be made here I just think we should be gaining ground now. Am I just impatient?
I agree! But I think there will be a bit of a wait before we get to having steady orders tbh. Realistically I think 6 months or so. I think the hydrogen market has a lot of moving parts right now (all in the right direction) but before orders start getting placed planning needs approving , hydrogen sources need to be firmed up and the word about afc needs to get out there (Extreme E will do that). So for me I'm happy with my holding I just need to keep my patience. But one thing I am disappointed in is Iain Thompson's performance! Has there been increased or better quality communication since he was hired? Not really and I think if he had made a bigger impact this dip would be lessened and shareholders would be more confident.
Not worried about the SP, gave up watching the price every hour on this one a long time ago as it distracts you from what's important! But one thing I was expecting to see, was communication from the newly employed Iain Thomson. Surely he should be settled in now and ready to get the word out or am I being unreasonable?
Haven't been this interested to see how a week will pan out in a while. Will we break the 85p resistance and carry on with the upward trend we're seeing as of late? Will Iain Thomson start generating a bit more buzz about AFC? Or will we just see more consolidation between 83-85p? Or will we retrace to 75p and continue to bounce between 75-85p? I know everyone keeps saying there will be an RNS soon but I think that's just wishful thinking IMO. So I'm really interested to see what value the market is going to put on AFC.
I think the 1.3p resistance will hold but until we get some news there just isn't enough volume for us to see the rises I think we all know this sp is due. We are still way under valued but that won't be realised until there is a bit more pr caused by commercial deals. I'm holding for now but once I feel the market starts to take notice I will double down as this could be a massive multibagger!!
