Personally I think electric vehicles will be in the ascendancy for the next 20 to 30 years and then gradually replaced with hydrogen powered vehicles. The mining of lithium has a significant impact on the environment whereas the production of hydrogen can increasingly be achieved with solar energy. Storage and distribution is also becoming safer as it can for example be transported as NH4 in liquid form. Also hydrogen will never run out. That said I am heavily invested in lithium and I am looking forward to some great returns.

Methods of producing and storing hydrogen are progressing rapidly. It will take 20 years but it will eventually replace lithium batteries. Then Musk, who called them Fool Cells will have to eat his words.

Electric and lithium will be dominant for the next 20 years or so and then hydrogen power will be in the ascendance. Hydrogen is the most common element in the Universe and will never run out. Its production does not have the same environmental impact as the mining and transportation of lithium. There are various methods already being applied for its safe transportation, for instance as NH4. Hydrogen powered vehicles will be much lighter and not have the range limitations of lithium batteries.
That said I am heavily invested in BCN and wish the useless management would get their fingers out.

If there are 85,000 retail investors couldn't a fundraising from them in an interest bearing bond resolve the issue and secure the future for those shareholders? They would get their money back on the resurgence of the share price alone.
