Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
This is a pointless post as peeps seldom change their minds about political matters. The FTSE fell faster after the poll results, despite the Greek problem having been ,at least temporarily resolved.A great deal of the current market dither is based on lack of confidence in a gov. that have bowed to ridiculous and harmful demands from the Libs.Their own platform of bashing banks has had a great deal to do with it as well.Going in to the poll. Lloyds and RBS SP reflected a profit if the gov. were to sell.Since then they have tanked.Hundreds of thousands of small PIs playing with smaller portfolios of up to 100,000 or so will feel it's not worth the effort involved in investing, or will place their money where there is less risk. That alone will deprive developing companies of the investment they need. The much screamed about National insurance rate will still rise, just by a bit less.A rise in VAT to 20% will slow down spending at a time it is desperately needed. Some of the so called savings they have announced will result in an overall cost increase. It goes on and on.Bit like you and I ,so I'll stop now I'm boring myself as well. The investment market have no confidence in this gov...The figures speak for themselves.A lot of flat cap whippet owning tory small investors said they expected their shares to rise immediately after the best chancellor of the century was kicked out of office. What a surprise that it hasn't happened. It is pointless to reply,we will not change each others minds.Sty is just one company amongst many others that the VAT rate and general lack of confidence will influence.Best of luck to us all.We will now need it more than ever.
Confidence in the twonks in office explains the recent rises then.LOL.
I suggest you do a little more research on company taxes and who did what to whom and when..LOL..Don't base your trading on your present misguided assumptions.GL.
A good balanced response to my post.I must say I'm surprised at the lack of positive response to the results , but peeps are rightly very cagey of buying anything at all at the mo.STY shareholder relations need to be reappraised. No news will always be interpreted as bad news. They now look a little less wobbly and I'm surprised at the lack of interest, despite the market coditions.I think ,as I said ,it's to do with peeps wanting to make a quick buck, rather than investing for the longer term.Good luck with your investments.Let's hope for a good upturn across the market.
If you read back through a few of my posts you will see that I mention a delay in setting up this years extension to my ISA.I will be buying tomorrow for my ISA as it happens,But not of course STY.Only kidding I might buy STY, but probably won't.I really don't see why peeps who see an appraisal that doesn't fit with a blinkered view think immediately of the word deramp, just as they consider that any drop is due to MM manipulation. If anything this share has been manipulated upward today on very small trade.I couldn't find any bad news when it was 34.5p either,so who made the right decision.???Was it you??? or was it me????A little analysis tells me it was me.LOL.Can't believe I'm responding to you.Incidentally , one can only put £10200 a year in an ISA.Not Rothschild stuff is it.
I don't see any deramp in my post.If you want to stick your head in an orifice, perhaps your own, do so.I've obviously done more research than you, because you own them and I don't.
I've been watching this share since it was 34.5p.I've resisted buying for a number of reasons which have been aired on the BB by others. On the SP today, I would say that if anything it is being manipulated upward rather than downward. The amount of traffic does not warrant a rise.STY are still in a perilous situation.Any work they get will almost inevitably be at a very low or non existant margin of profit. It looks as if the market regard it as too dodgy to buy at the moment ,especially with the further uncertainties the government have managed to inject into the market. On top of all their problems ,I would think that many PIs are slowly cashing out to avoid the higher CGT that this amazingly inept gov. are promising.Lower volumes means lower SP.Where is the manipulation, other than upward.'If they survive it'll be a good long term hold, but peeps like long term holds less and less, particularly dodgy ones.GL all.
GL. ( To us all )
The banks have a stranglehold on WYG.On the other hand, they'll be getting very close supervision and hopefully, very good advice to help them through this tricky spot.A reasonable proposition for a small punt.
Many thanks.
Anyone know WTFGO ??? Looks good on sales but spread is disastrous. However, a remarkable rise last few days.Let's hope it continues.GL.
No
Well,Well,WELL + 20.14%...Can't see any reason why.Must confess I can't be bothered to seriously research.Anyone know why the rise the last few days. Can't find an RNS/News/etc...Is it a leak of good results?New contracts?What?...I may end up answering myself soon.GL. all.
Ignore these prices after hours. They rarely have any relation to reality.
Got it! LOL.
Sorry : senior moment.Wrong board.Should have been SAR..Anyway...What mean Wondering why? Why what?
Dosage trials have been farmed out to PYC.(They do computer simulations, referred to as "in silico")).This will be paid for out of future deals for licence.A bit difficult to know how to interpret this as both companies share some of their directors..PYC were looking about the right price to buy in at anyway, so I bought some of theirs today as well. This has been seen as effectively a dilution and has effected the SP,probably temporarily. There was a suggestion/ hint that as it was to be paid for by future licencing that a deal seemed to be looking more likely after the trials, however the common directorships muddy the water somewhat. GL.On balance I suggest you should continue to hold.IMHO.DYOR TTFN GL.
Tumbleweed blows slowly across a parched landscape.LOL.You've got to sometimes.Should I write to thank me for my post? No ,perhaps not.Anyone heard anything ? rumours? jokes?
Depends whether a reasonable amount has been allocated to debt payment,if not it seems a ridiculously small profit on the turnover figures, but just a little better than a loss.
Sorry to see this news.As I suggested in September they,ve shafted the people who supported them.I suspected this tactic but didn.t think it could legally be done this easily. In fact is it legal.?Hope none of you are badly effected.Never mind ,there are other good companies out there. This has been a salutary lesson and I'm just pleased that I followed my instincts, rather than wait for the axe to fall.GL all.
