It’s time to fly,
God I used to love that TV show as a child, should start to see an upwards trend now,

Anyone see massive buy orders before yesterdays close?
As I always say, nothing great happens overnight, it was obvious when they posted about option orders…
Great results IMO,
Passenger revenue up 7 fold (7x)
Operating loss down 4 fold (4x)
Post tax losses down 3 fold (3x)
Cash to Debt ratio amazing; up 50% compared to 33%
Bring on Q3 results, pretty sure as I top this up it shall one day eventually touch 2.73 (a long time ago for some of us haha)
I think the 1.80 shareholders shouldn’t be as worried, unless you have bills to pay :P

Does anyone have an educated view/stance on the current inflation/recession fears? I would appreciate to hear your thoughts, news is a bit up and down wrt the Russian gas supply and Central Banks interest rate rises…
I think the near term outlook for IAG is quite dry but I’m confident for its future
Thanks in advance,
C
I see how you’ve put two and two together. But consider these factors: flights delayed or cancelled, availability of staff reduced or not, flight sales stopped or not. You’ll see though it doesn’t sound like a great headline the flow of money and sales continue, flights are still moving however with delays thus the share price continues to increase; majority of airlines are operating a similar capacity to 2019.
It’s worth noting I am in IAG for the long run and not short term spikes of 20%
Whatever your investment decision,
Good luck,
C
Nearly there IAG! I don’t think we’ll see as much downtrend July August September are the money maker months, seems like the Airports are handling themselves slightly better now
Ah that does make sense, I didn’t factor in the last day of H1, should be shooting for greens tomorrow, nice, I would expect the situation in Heathrow to be great at the moment; it’s heavily populated and I know many people who are booking trips abroad finally after the pandemic… it’s also a great sign to see the airline placing orders for new planes.
Whoever shared the average price prediction thanks, I hadn’t known this prior; I tend to stay away from this board as it’s heavily pessimistic… a bit like reviews on google; people only go out their way generally to complain…
I can’t see this dropping below 105, personally, but I will use it to my advantage and fill my position haha(!) with regards to bankruptcy I think that’s heavily far fetched and also raises the question to why someone’s sticking around on the boards if they have absolutely no confidence in the share. Wild I’d say
We will see how things go, July will definitely bring good news

Maybe 117p. I’m purely guessing, but after a bad day on the market, the cats come out to play, should be nice… Although reading everyone talking about sub 100p, I don’t think the quarterly report will allow that especially during the summertime here in the UK… just my opinion though..

Calamari, BTC has been around for years now, and we’ve all watched it become jilted several times. I can understand your frustration I guess… but this cats got a pogo stick… Tigger like “waahahahaayyyy” lol

Just a thought, diversify your portfolio… I think we all see the same SPs and have managed rather well, especially from what I’ve been reading on these boards.
And kudos to all those silent winners, we see you on the trade index
C
At 0.25 increments, does that drastically change the cost of borrowing? Lol
We all read the same headlines right?
I’ve said my peace :)

Let’s discuss the mega dive and mega jump, not for the faint hearted and please don’t get upset and start swearing on the board there’s better things to do in life chaps.
I think 24/48 but I have a feeling I’ll be horribly wrong and around 4pm GMT the bulls will be out, who knows eh
Cheers C
Fingers crossed for you(!) top up now too so you don’t miss the boat
Too many people guessing on here lol, no risk no reward, I’ll say 30’s won’t last until close back to 43-46p soon
Cheers C
Anyone noticing fewer buys then sells, I think some volatility is due, GLA hopefully we maintain the 107 floor price but it’s unlikely with the media propagating their agenda...
Well, chaps, I didn’t expect you all to be hurt by my comment, it wasn’t my intention.
Also I did start off with a couple statements for PI’s to do their own research, anyway, it’s not a specific number, it’s the closing ask, less 15% - I guess we can all agree this stock can be quite volatile right?
The title may have needed a question mark. “ once they find a bigger fish to feed on the SP (in my opinion will be around 112)” clarifying the in my opinion.
So my thoughts were if all the “buys” are not long term investors the acceleration of the SP wouldn’t hold. Also I thought I’d read somewhere on LSE buys after hours are likely sells; once I saw my own trade and beside it was listed as Unknown. By the way it would be good for others to read into the meaning of an uncrossing trade, I’d say it’s self explanatory.
And K3V, don’t feel bad mate, it’s a nice day, I understand your frustration though, maybe we should always tell people how to filter others, ignorance is bliss after all
Let’s see how the SP moves going forward,
GLA
Bzhodan - that was cool
I am Intriguingly keeping my eyes on the SP.

A few weeks ago this board was really insightful, now we’re bashing people for an “o” in their username, which IMO is completely fine...
Anyway, those who aren’t here often, please don’t buy into these share chat recommended companies. Always do your own research.
The “large buys” are likely sells, and if that isn’t the case they’re less likely to be long term investors, therefore once they find a bigger fish to feed on the SP (in my opinion will be around 112)... I also think bitcoin in September will be extremely higher. And thus this has a decent margin of growth but I wouldn’t say £2.0 by x date, most likely early next year with several highs at 185p.
GLA
I think someone mentioned a couple of days ago they have a buy set for 105, I see this as accurate, the ITP news and cross Atlantic travel is not going to reflect soon, and if everyone is waiting for 115 to sell the SP isn’t necessary reflective of true value, I think 98p-103p is a good target until things are clearer globally until then, especially with Boris’s forwards backwards movements I can’t see this rising steadily. Hoping for good news on the 19th of July
pp sorry not point
What does the point in “£1k pp” stand for?
Also guys what’s your opinion on this, everyone’s saying it’s going to go up (in a perfect world - I do agree) but the rate of loss for RR and the delay in the UK lockdown easing plus the lack of cross Atlantic flights doesn't this seem worrying?
What’s everyone’s opinion: pros and cons for RR?
I’ve seen a few dodgy misleading links for ITP Aero sale, but even then that’s to cover losses and increase cash flow, to me it seems like this share will only boost once the Delta variant has been assessed globally, but I’d like to believe I’m completely wrong, so I look forward to your opinions.
