Oil price It is still all about I Ran, clearly the Donald didnt take anything his mate Emanuelle said the other night nor should we have expected him to, this is one decision he is unlikely to go back on. May the 12th is beginning to look a lot like D-Day on this front. In the meantime back in Tehran they have said that they will not accept any changes to the 2015 deal which sets us all up for a tricky few weeks, probably culminating in more US sanctions. I meant to talk about the ever diminishing Venezuelan production, Chevron didnt take kindly to having a couple of its operatives banged in the slammer and have cut back exposure even further leading to more misery down there.
I give my opinion and that is all, in my view this is not a bad prelim at all just not the spectacular news we are waiting for, as for fellow shareholder, I really have my doubts about that one.
I am betting we close blue again today, certainly nothing in the prelims to make me think otherwise, this is just a holding RNS, the serious news is yet to come, just a question of time that is all.
You have no idea when the farmout news will come, stating that it is a mont away is totally misleading but even if it was LTHs are not going to be phased by that. The only people it will affect are traders that dip in and out on the slightest drop or rise, people like yourself I guess.
And now we are getting the doomsters crawling out of the woodwork again, opportunists more like it.
What is going on with LSE's punctuation and insertion of random characters lately

Get a grip Jones, just 1.3 million traded and I suspect some of that misrepresented as sells
The fatality was a few years ago and as I recall it was what drove us to up our game on health and safety. We have since won awards from Trinidad for our safety record.
This practice appears to be widespread in this area and has been supported by a corrupt police and military. I suspect part of the reason for us getting this at such a great deal is because the government wants major reform and we have an impeccable safety record.
Interestingly Barchart are now showing RRL as a 72% BUY against an 8% SELL last month and a 40% BUY last week. https://www.barchart.com/stocks/quotes/RRL.LS/opinion
Oil and gas are frequently found in the same location, two sides of the same coin but I agree it was probably the gas that blew.
Looks like this illegal drilling is an ongoing problem which I suspect is linked to corruption. The Indonesian authorities are coming under increasing pressure to act decisively on this, not easton environmental grounds. http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2018/04/25/illegal-oil-exploration-activities-in-aceh-must-stop-walhi.html
Clearly iPhone does not recognise the word Pertamina
Only a few months ago Pertain had an oil spill and I quote, "the size of Paris", which proves two things, there is a lot of oil in Indonesia and they desperately need help controlling its production
That was Pertamina before auto correct changed it by the way.
It seems this is a widespread problem in Indonesia, that is now being dealt with, no wonder Pertain are keen to have Range on board with our excellent safety record. http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/12/18/pertamina-to-close-13-illegal-wells-in-jambi.html
By all accounts this was a gusher and just 250 meters deep, it also shows that the locals know how easy it is (although not safe if you smoke as has been suggested as the cause of the fire) to drill for oil in the region. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/illegal-oil-well-indonesia-bursts-220921759.html
Authorities were still trying to determine what had caused the fire. Local news reports said it may have started with a spark from a blowtorch or a worker smoking a cigarette. Makes you realise the importance of our strict adherence to safety and our enviable record in Trinidad. Lets hope we can install those same safety standards in Indonesia. Instead of being flippant you might want to read the RNS: A fire erupted at an illegal oil well in Indonesia on Wednesday killing least 18 people and injuring 41
