Almost all comms stocks making gains, what is happening here,
What a result over a pound today. Starts to make you wonder DEBS1. Strong buying numbers. Someone knows something, time will tell.
Yes DEBS1 a fair amount of shares traded today and 97p reached. I think the £1 share is when now not if. All eyes will be on the trading results delivered at the end of November.
Just popped into VOD and seen some huge sales today. Me wonders if that's were the KCOM buyers are coming from.
The talk of Vodaphone and large amounts of buying into KCOM would make sense with so much money in their pockets but I am not so sure that's the case, I think the board of KCOM talk always from a reserved position of strength and confidence in their future business goals. They are now well on the way to expanding with new technology and no longer seen as just a Hull telephone service Company. The share price has sat in the dark doing nothing much for a good while. I think that smart money knows it will be sooner rather than later that the SP will accelerate if the economy continues to grow beyond its current state. They always announce something new in the Autumn statement and my guess is some body knows more about what is to come. We should not forget they are partnered with O2 and that has not really come into the lime light just yet. What ever it is I believe the Company has some surprises to share.
Hit 91 just after opening at last we have seen a new high with a 9 in front, with Barclays having stated 95 is a realistic price tag I think kcom will be a topic in the City this morning.
Kcom Signs Up To The METRO2C Alliance. looking ahead to the cloud development and kcom's involvement in this I am sure this is excellent news further strengthening the future for success. I wait with baited breath for the sp to cross the 90p barrier its tittering on the edge this week.
You may not be correct about the sell numbers on the Directors. If you look at the record of their holdings there was a transfer in prior to sell. I think you may find its a year end share allocation option scheme that has exercised. These are not actually owned until they become eligible and unless they have a mountain of cash to buy them at an agreed price they sell automatically taking the profit after costs only. I think with so much positive comment from the investment houses around KC one should be thinking about purchasing not selling. But hey its just an opinion.
If you watch the share price it seems like its always being held back when compared to its rivals. My gut wants to ask is it possible to fix prices in this day and age? If so by whom? Maybe someone with a grudge loosing a small fortune when KC shares reached dizzy heights and fell back hard a decade ago? One of course wants to think not. As usual a solid sound set of results and a solid statement with loads of positives for short and medium term growth. By now the City knows the team, at the helm in Kcom being all rock solid time served Business people. So why in spite of everything that they do does the Sp continue to under perform? Why loose so much in 2 weeks and struggle to recover on good news? Makes you wonder. I for one wish to congratulate the KCOM team for delivering a solid respectable performance on the back of a difficult economic trading year. My home services are provided by KC and they are the best they have ever been. Well Done all at KC.
The results slightly delayed on diary. Telecoms shares generally performing ahead of market expectations. A steady rise on sp. My gut feeling is a strong statement and an sp in the 90's by mid June.
Kcom Group (LON: KCOM)'s stock had its "buy" rating reiterated by investment analysts at Espirito Santo Investment Bank Research in a note issued to investors on Wednesday, Analyst Ratings Network reports. They currently have a GBX 100 ($1.56) target price on the stock.A number of other firms have also recently commented on KCOM. Analysts at Barclays Capital reiterated an "overweight" rating on shares of Kcom Group in a research note to investors on Wednesday, April 17th. They now have a GBX 95 ($1.48) price target on the stock. With the Company announcement coming in a matter of days does someone know something is in the wind?
Yes as stated its good to see kcom offering TV package like BT. That along with the O2 tie up offering cheap mobile with the bundle offers they are really getting to grips with local services. Hope to see the end of broad band limits on packages soon though.
Anyone know whats sparked the many buys today. It was cool to watch the swing in price as the buys were going in.
Good to see that kcom are growing in all directions this year. Just announced to Kcom bundle services customers a mobile deal bolt on to their package. Its a buddy up with O2 (theres a surprise, watch this space!) its a great offer with a contract offer with or without handset.
The Directors are given share options that mature on term or performance. They are usually held in name but owned by the Company for the period or term. When the option is exercisable then they transact as a buy (at agreed purchase price set at the time of the option being granted) and sell with the recipient taking the profit after costs are taken out (subject to tax legislation applicable to the scheme). By the fact the Company purchased a vast amount of shares recently to satisfy its Company obligations to all employee share schemes and the fact that if the last post is correct they are exactly the same values, then I would suggest there is no issue here. After all they may be Directors but I doubt they have over £300.000 under their beds or 2 million in the case of Mr Halbert!
KCOM: finnCap reiterates buy rating and 100p target
I just dont get it, what does the city have against Kcom? Telecom plus can do no wrong jumping leaps and bounds even in advers conditions, Yet KC deliver strong results and keep to their promise and the share price falls? Are prices no longer linked to the performance of a Company but rigged by a central city computer?
Hope this helps. Just cant get it out of my head that the big buys coming in are not just pension and investment funds but speculation about a take over in the future now the Company has shed its liabilities and streamlined for the future or maybe an aquasition of its own. It cant stand still resting on the Hull ring fenced market place for its base business.
