Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
The one thing that never ceases to amaze me about the LSE BB is how quickly people accuse you of being a ramper / derampers / troll / etc, just because you said something they don’t agree with. I saw the exact same behaviour on the SXX board, and guess what? All those petty, emotive people, who throw around accusations and block people so readily, well they’re the ones who lose money.
Investing shouldn’t be so emotional. If you look at the guys past posts he clearly isn’t anything other than a genuine guy try to invest. The fact you block him so quickly says much more about you than it does him.
And yes I know the water issue was fixed, that’s one of the reasons why I’ve bought shares in the company. Doesn’t change the fact there was an issue that contributed to a declining sp. I specifically pointed out I was no expert, I gave basic facts, nothing else, yet you find a problem with it anyway. Why people are so emotional and irrational when it comes to investing is beyond me.
Hi there, I’m fairly new to this stock but my understanding is that there was a couple of issues with water ingress and flow with the horizontal, they introduced a ton more shares which diluted the SP and lastly the corona virus and the current oil price issues are the other reasons why it has slid. Personally I think it’s worth the current sp, and might get back to 2p on a series of positive events, but I am no expert on UKOG.
Well said. I had a really rough few years once, I took almost all of it on the chin, but out of all the crap at that time it was the financial difficulties that hurt the most. You feel like a failure, and can’t see a way out, it can feel like all hope is lost, but it will get better. The worst thing I found was hiding the truth from people, be open, be honest, be strong. Wishing all the best to everyone who had the Sirius dream.
I don’t doubt you’re decisions are based on logic and reasoning FFC. I’ve seen lots of your posts over the months and you’re clearly informed and educated, but I wasn’t talking about you. Indeed if my original comment about voting in anger didn’t register with you, that just confirms it. But there are a significant number of people out their considering voting no, purely based on emotion. That’s nothing but a bad thing. By all means vote no if you have reasons other than spiting CF
This board is literally designed for people to put their beaks in, it is it’s primary function. Plus as a former shareholder, a Yorkshireman, and someone who would love to be able to invest again, I feel I have a right to comment.
What I am saying is what plenty of others have also said, don’t vote no purely based on emotion because you’re only hurting yourself and others. If you don’t agree with that statement you’re a dick.
100% agree, in fact I’d love an investigation, maybe we’d get to see who some of the rampers/derampers/leakers actually worked for.
Definitely agree it was kept intentionally low, buys kept outweighs sells by a ton, but you’d still see the MMs doing their bit at the same times everyday to ensure it didn’t move. Such a shame but that’s why you have to treat these smaller stocks as high risk.
Nothing to do with me chief, I don’t hold shares in Sirius anymore, but people should absolutely think of others, that’s why the world is in such a mess, because nobody does. I just don’t like the idea of some old bloke losing what’s left of his badly invested savings, just because some mardy bum votes no on angry principle.
People here asking CF and the BoD to think of them, but can’t extend the same courtesy. As you say, each to their own, but the words cut, nose and spite come to mind.
Who knows what will happen, I wish everyone the best, but I personally think voting no will lead to losing everything.
Why would anyone buy any share? To make money. As someone just said, that’s almost instant free money of Sirius sells at 5.5p
At this point I feel like voting no is just throwing away the rest of your, and everyone else’s investment. I’d love to be proven wrong but I’ve lost faith in the BOD to deliver the project, but for the area I would like to see it complete so maybe AAL could do that. Everyone has to make their own decision, but ultimately it’s emotional investment decisions that got people into the mess some of them are in.
Such a shame how this all worked out, such a great project.
I just don’t get this board. Someone tries to start a thread with a genuine purpose, someone else cautions about giving personal info on a random web form, and not it descends into pointing out someone’s typo. We all know pointing out an autocorrect/small typo is the last resort, when you have no comeback, it’s embarrassing.
I had given up on the SXX PI dream, and I am not optimistic but this would be amazing if something could come of it. I’d definitely buy back in if the sale didn’t happen and a good opportunity arose. The project is world class, at least that we can all agree on.
