Haha worrying times...you know what, you are 100% right. The world I facing a global disaster, and using lithium for electric cars etc could help prevent it.....but these selfish individuals are trying to stop that, though they aren't against mining, just not near them. Absolute hypocrites.
APA who are alot more educated about this and know a he'll of alot more than the local mayors seemed happy with it. The local mayors just don't want it...we like using mined materials for our phones...but you won't be mining that in our backyard.
Here's an idea for the mayor's....instead of the government having to give you 1.5million every year...how about you back a project that is going to mean you can look after yourselves instead of scrounging of everyone else
These local mayor's obviously don't have a clue what they are talking about.....so ignoring a certain territory...though when you search there are new 200 mentions of that region lol
Apologies if this quote has already been put out there....
EIT InnoEnergy's CEO, Diego Pavia said, "EIT InnoEnergy strives to push Savannah's project in Portugal to completion and further in order to support the development of a sustainable and regional lithium-ion battery supply chain in Europe. Our support will bring the project towards the final phase of its development and allow European customers, including battery and automakers, to source lithium chemicals in the EU."
No need to pump it... patience is all that is required. Lots of it I might add! Time will see this go where it should....when eia is confirmed and galp deal etc
Check out the petition site..https://www.change.org/p/dear-friends-expats-living-in-portugal-and-tourists-that-love-our-country
Go to the bottom and see the organisation that set this up, they are like a bunch of conspiracy theorists. Coronavirus was caused by 5g!
I just can't get over the hypocrisy of it all, everyone in that village uses something that has been dug up out of the ground.....but that's ok. Just won't be dug up in our back yard. We don't mind if it's dug up in some 3rd world county where slavery still exists and child labour etc.
Have to say this is really frustrating.
Sorry, for the Multiple posts there, didn't think the first one sent.
How do people feel about how this public consultation will go?
I've always been pretty confident with being invested here, but nerves are starting... especially with how the locals are getting on.
So how does everyone feel about this public consultation? Have to admit, I've always felt sure about Savannah resources...but with the way the locals are acting, the nerves are creeping in lol

He liked our eia but so...and Portugal desperate for lithium mining to get started.

07:40 blue square: Interesting EU summit in Porto on Friday hailed as a turning point https://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=89&furtherNews=yes&langId=en&newsId=10004 All participants committed to invest whatever it takes to create well paid jobs allied partly to the the new 'sustainable' economy. Was looking at the profile of the villages again around MDB, hardly any children are being born just the aging population mostly left, unless something changes these villages will die out. Sorely tempted to add another million shares tomorrow, against that SAV seems to be a binary bet, the EIA gets approved the share should double? 8p, EIA gets rejected, SAV will only have a token value. Basically your getting even money for a 1/5 shot, the odds are in our favour but you cant take anything for granted. often people late to the party benefit in these situations I know LTH have had it rough. all the above is my own opinion, could well be wrong in my assessment

That not it there
Ah, don't get me started about the protests over here....there's little pockets of loyalists and little pockets of republicans that will always hate the other side. Stuck in the dark ages.
Hey everyone, I've been reading articles about these anti mining protests. I wish people would stop being so short sighted...so many positives for these villages, my worry is that Savannah could have done everything they can to try and make them happy...but nomatter what, these protesters will just not want it. Cant believe how they are happy with all the mining done in other countries so that they are able to have their phones, cars etc...but no, you will not mine near us! I'd be happy if a big mine was going to be built near my wee town in Ireland, the jobs that will come with it. Ah, people are just so hard to understand.
I registered and tried replying to a comment on that article, not letting me post it for some reason. Not in my back yard eh.
Halifax could do with updating their research notes on Savannah..
