There's a few people happy with his last tip that may end up buying.
A guy is ramping this over on MMS thread on ADVFN.
Got that little thorn out my side. Only a small profit but was £1k better off with it than I was yesterday so overall pleased. I know it could fly but I was uneasy with the 'not knowing'. Didn't like the fact I could buy loads online but couldn't sell any so figured it was time to walk away.
Do you have any thoughts on the lack of movement in LGO, I'm not overly concerned as I plan to hold for a time to release value but did wonder what forces were at work. Is it just a 'quiet' share. I am sure it's time will come.
A buying opportunity for many, kicking myself that I missed 30p but took some again at 32p. Let's hope it pays off again.
Just seen your post at 17.10 on regular. Great minds think alike. Don't want to jump to conclusions but just feel something is afoot with sp reaction today. That wasn't just.....we have spudded. Time will tell, either way, nice to be in profit, doesn't matter how it comes, just as long as it doesn't go as fast. A.T.B.
Hi, just been popping in this today to look at the chat, a tipster friend of mine likes the look of it. I'm just looking at the moment. You, may already use this function but to cut out most of the drivel I often just fill the watchlist with my shares I hold or chat I want to view, it's good as it tells you how many posts have been made and if there is a new post you can click on it from the watchlist. Apologies if you already know.
Click on the filters tab (blue one) next to regular chat and premium chat. Then type the one you want to filter.
Oh goodness, I've been a holder since RVD days, seems like a lifetime ago. Played the swings a few times, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. Only got just over 40,000 shares in just now at a small loss and happy to leave them just to see what develops. Agree with some of Riddlers comments re. getting on the right track now. I'm happy just to leave what I have and see what develops.
Hi Riddler, the sp is very similar to where I bought in. There has been one dip that looks like it took it down briefly to around 6p, to tell you the truth I don't even know why that didn't concern me, I was probably preoccupied with one of my larger holdings at the time. You were certainly correct about another buying opportunity there. Certainly going forward it would be good to see from your point if we should be gathering momentum soon. So many shares having their day at the moment.
Hi GedW, was having a look at this but I see it's marked up over 17% already for opening. I'm sure it's worth more but possibly worth waiting for the intitial contract win euphoria to die down or do you think there may be more room for upwards movement today?
yes, I've been resetting my router but it's definately Advfn.
LOL. Think I might need to waken up a bit more in the morning. Good on you!!!
With regards to newspaper reporting, the lowest figure mentioned for a buy out has been 80p. There have been much higher figures mentioned, (taking it up to about £2.34). I would think this is why people are cautious. The risk/reward ratio isn't good if the bid does turn out to be 80p so I would think many people would think twice about buying in at this level. Of course if the bid went anywhere near the higher level we would all be laughing, but it is all still an unknown. With that in mind 80p is fine for me, anything else is a bonus. If it doesn't happen (always a possibility) then I'm not heavily invested. Wishing everyone good luck and hoping for a nice result.
Personally I shall not top up, I'm happy with the modest amount I hold. Ideally wouldn't it be lovely for the newspaper reports to be true but I am not expecting that to be the case. It would be nice to be pleasantly suprised but certainly anything over 80p would be good.
....even though approached have been made by Essar and other parties there is no guarantee that they will lead to an offer being made for the company. These are the words from the rns and if the deal was to fall through/called off then that would be the worst case scenario as the sp would tank. I'm sure the fall would be overdone and there would be a correction but having seen these things many times before this is what I would class as the worst scenario and always a possibility.
Should have read $2.23billion offer for GKP reported.
If the original source was the Indian Telegraph then it is worth bearing in mind that Indian newspapers were only last week running with a story that $1.23billion offer was to be made for GKP. Some think no smoke without fire but it remains to be seen. Happy to hold and see what develops. Anything above 80p will be a pleasant surprise for me. G.L. All
I am a holder here and have been patiently waiting for the bid although I have greatly reduced my exposure. Can you provide me with a link to that report? For what it's worth 80p upwards and I'm happy.
Hi guys, I've not been in this for a few months now. The chat caught my attention tonight as I'm at a loose end. What is the problem at the moment? I see they suspended the u.s. approval, was that down to funds? Is that why the S.P. has been dropping, due to a large cash burn? I remember from their interims that they had cash to see them through to 2010. Other than the suspension has anything major happened to change things?
