Bwin seems to have accepted a lower offer than GVC's. Might be a bookmarks thing, how ever that's helped the SP to tick up.
Other way round. You buy Bwin for £800m and sell it to Gvc for £900m. By this I don't mean the whole company.
If Gvc is offering £900m to buy Bwin which has a market value of £800m at the moment then, we have a £100m profit in here. Easy! But don't sell your Gvc shares!
I think GVC will be bidding for unregulated assets of Bwin's not the whole company, similar to what they did with Sporting bet and William Hill, and 888 taking the rest.
The divi yield in GVC is 5% more than Bwin's, so why would I swop a high yield like that to a lower yield? Not happy with this so I will vote no.
Combined value of both will be well over a billion. How are we going to afford it ?
Very good morning to all in GVC ( my pension pot ) :) . Another record year. Going from strength to strenth and no drama. Hoping for a continuous ascend. Gla.
But no final divi. I will take it as xmas bonus. Thank you Santa :)
Not that wide when you trade. 90.24 to buy and 89.25 to sell, only a penny. Reasonable.
Got my figures from TD Waterhouse site as 9.63p and 3.77p for special divi, but you are right it's only 13.125p. Might be due to exchange rate as divi is paid in euro cents and GBP has appreciated since April.
I just topped up with 2754 more shares :D, better news about the divi pay it's actually 13.40p, so that's another 5 more shares for me, with European championship and World Cup around the corner I think there is more to come from GVC.
Sorry I didn't read your question properly, this latest pay is for yesterday not April, includes special divi as well, hope you get yours soon.
Both divi came in at the same time, 13.20p in total.
Mine was in yesterday. Make sure your broker hasn't done a runner!
Now my take away has a web site, customers can order online and my bank charges only 2.5% for card payments. Avoid like a virus!!!!
I am baffled how this company is valued (100 times PE) as a high tech company. After all their technology is just a fax machine that prints out customers orders. most of the profit comes from charging 40p for every credit card used to order food. They also charge take aways 12% of the value of every order which owners find it totally extortionate. Their is also a charge of £300 if owners change their bank account details. I know all this because I am a take away owner and I have stopped dealing with this company. Now my take away
What's happening today? Lots of activity!
The regulatory concern is priced in the SP, otherwise GVC will be changing hands at around £8, with canny scot at the helm I am sure Keneth Alexander will steer this business to safe waters, after all he turned the loss making sporting bet into €5m profit in year one!
Broken for the third time. Hoping for a steady rise after excellent results. 120% increase in divi year on year was just unbelievable.:D
Amazing ! No sellers so far today, expecting a good final next week. Gla.
