Is it not the case that the other case trial, now set for 3 October, could still be resolved by agreement in the period to that date? It can’t be ruled out.
Shield is mentioned in the Stockwatch column in today’s Mail, with emphasis on revenue rising in 2020 from £700k to £9m plus. Maybe share price will be in positive territory next week?
I believe the apparent 3p drop reflects the shares are quoted from today ex-dividend. The recent dividend declared was 3.08p per share and this is due for payment on 29 August.
according to the 4 November RNS, "interim dividend of 2.67 US cents per share will be paid on 13 January 2011 to ordinary shareholders on the register at the close of business on 12 November 2010"
FT today reports that ION Trading, backed (almost inevitably) by private equity lifted its stake from 8.3% to 10.5%. I too have a few shares and am holding. Small div due April too.
Chunky volume has resumed today with more than one abnormal buy, including 5m shares late reported for just after mid-day. Suggests something major afoot to warrant this level of action.
Received a company release following the placing. A strong news flow for coming weeks is expected. With directors in this week at 7p+, there seems more upside to go for.
Volume traded yesterday was 3 times the average and I see trades this morning above 8p. It seems the speculative trading will continue until news breaks
Notice higher volume turnover in CEN today and appears mostly buys. No news postings. Perhaps good news on the way? I hold smallish investment & remain optimistic
