Blencowe Resources: Aspiring to become one of the largest graphite producers in the world. Watch the video here.
You know far more than me regards the processing of Gold. I know that the binding circuit is coming online in August (completion in July) but I don't really know what that entails. I was under the impression this was for Inata, so how does this help with Tri-K?
Been away from the forum for a bit. Lofty - What we need is some news from AVM that doesn't revolve around gold price. I know that seems a bit strange but we want to hear good news about production costs, the binding circuit, Guinea permit etc etc. This will move the price up. I'll be really pi$$ed off if they say "We are still working on prod costs and waiting for news about the Guinea permit and the binding circuit will be completed later this year...."
You are not going to believe this but i got a log cabin installed in my garden last October. Has full internet access and insulation in floor and roof! http://dunsterhouse.co.uk/log-cabins/premium-avon-w3-0m-x-d4-0m
I will keep continuing to hold but tbh I have lost a lot of faith in the BoD. Happy - I'm not so sure about slowly, slowly catchy monkey. More like dead slow dead slow catchy monkey - lol. The board are lacking clear direction and have too many factors that are not in their hands. How long have they been waiting for the licence approval in Guinea? They reported a request almost a year ago! They keep talking about cost saving but they seem unable to deliver on this. The only hope they have is a spike in the price of gold and tbh I could run the company for my garden and the share price would rise if that happened.
Well done with SDG yesterday Lofty. A poor Champion Chase by all accounts but all you can do is win. I mentioned Champagne Fever for the Arkle but he got be on the post my a head :( I'm on Oscar Whiskey today and helped myself to some 9/4 on Annie Power early doors with Ladbrokes - Also a small interest in Menorah in the Ryanair - Good luck today!
My God. What do the BoD do all day. Same sh*te every time. Nothing new to report. They have told us nothing at all.
Good luck Webbs - you are a brave man; but then we all are if we are involved with this company! I for one expect the shares to go up tomorrow. They have already announced the bad news and yes they need to reiterate this but we are almost through Q1 now so I expect and update on this too? Previous calculations have all been done on $1200 an oz and with gold being higher than this ever day so far then they must be able to present a rosier case? In the past they have said "what we need to do is". This time they are already two thirds through Q1 so they could well be delivering on promises. This is a gut feel but if they do and financing is sorted this could well go North.
Lofty - The share price closures around 12p are the highest its been since before Christmas. So the fact that it's at 12p at the moment and holding is encouraging as for as I'm concerned right now. We know that the Q4 results were not good but they did say this in January. "As outlined in the announcement on 20 December 2013, Q4 production was impacted by breakdowns in mobile and plant equipment. In particular, mining volumes were affected by mechanical availability of the loading equipment (including a fire that immobilized a wheel loader for a number of weeks) and pit wall failures, while mill throughput was reduced significantly as a result of lower than required availability of gensets, problems that have all been addressed." If these issues have been addressed and therefore production is back in full flow and with POG > $1300 they should paint a rosier picture next week for Q1 and beyond. Even more so if they have managed to reduce production costs for Q1. What we need desperately is for them to deliver JUST FOR ONCE on what they say is going to happen.
All I do each day is check the POG and every day its > $1300 oz I know that AVM will do ok, which in time will be reflected in share price. Happy do you know 100% that we are fully operational now after pit closure end of last quarter?
Hi Happy Still no concrete news. Only difference is POG. Although at prices > $1300 oz this will be looking rosier by the day. Q4 results due out March 6th and although not good a forward looking spin on Q1 results would be helpful
Hi Lofty. No problem at all. I know that Q4 results are bad but I want to know that they have things in hand and that they can then deliver on these results in the next quarter. I'm happy to wait another 2 years if need be but want to see some progress north in the next 6 months......
.........I believe the main reason for this share price not going up is the whole uncertainty of production and costs. I know that seems obvious but its also because we never know what the directors are going to say. All we can hope for right now is better news at the end of the quarter. I know there has been issues with production but we want to know that they are now all fixed and productions costs are a lot less. For now all we can do is be happy that gold is > $1200 and hope the bottom gold price settles at $1250. Then we need a sold quarter with gold around $1250 or more and results showing production at circa $900 an oz. Then belief will return to the market and share price
SDG was definitely impressive on Saturday but whether he can go with the Cheltenham hill I'm not too sure. Most of his races have been won on flat tracks and credit where credit is due Ascot at the weekend was a testing track. Cheltenham however (and the opposition) is an entirely different animal. I'd rather have my money on Champagne Fever for the Arkle :-)
Like you say though Happy - $70M is just for Tri-K which is way more than its current share price and market cap. They also have more exploration licenses too or have I misinterpreted this?: In Guinea, an exploration programme in the Tri-K Block of permits, which is situated in a large basin of Birimian rocks, was initiated in 2010. The Tri-K block comprises three main prospects - Koulékoun, Kodiéran and Kodiafaran, among a total of 12 exploration licences. Avocet's most advanced exploration project in Guinea is the Tri-K project, which is host to a Mineral Resource estimate of 3.0 million ounces. Tri-K is being expedited towards a feasibility study during 2013.
I've topped up (again) AND it shows on the trades as a buy! :-)
