Would you have preferred a placing at 1.6-1.7p with no guarantee? At the end of the day, If we have oil its just a 2p placing. The gaurantee is there for the risk factor. The BOD are privy to a lot more than we are. We have to believe they are acting in the best interests of the company

You think they could have raised the funds by existing holders at 2p? Well im not seeing many stepping up and buying on the open market at just above that price so I dont agree with that. Open Offers also take a lot of time to organise

The guarantee isn't an issue if we have oil. It's just a 2p placing in regards dilution. Same as the 2p placing in October. Was that one also the worst deal ever?

By exercising the put and the call that we expect to follow the bet has gone from a relatively binary bet with CERP providing some downside protection to a leveraged bet! ie Betting on margin!!

What BOD in their right mind would take this bet 24 days into the drill unless there was an element of certainty in what they have found thus far??

I see it as a positive. I cant see any other situation where they could take the funds with the guarantee in place knowing full well the SP will drop deep below 1p on a duster and offloading hundreds of shares into the market at this time would not be pretty!!

Thought we would have had one by now

The HF only needed to offload ~14m shares to pass through 7% . That is from 17th December to date

We will get one on the issuance of the latest tranche of 2p shares so will be interesting to see how many/if any they’ve been selling this far

There would have been some kind of clause to prevent BPC from doing this. Possibly a min time frame from put to results or earliest date results could be reported. Integrity is everything in business, It wouldn't be a good look trying to pull one over the HF in that kind of way

I can’t really fathom a reason why else they would take the funds with the guarantee in place and the knowledge of what will happen to the SP on the event of a duster

Sammy, they would need to use most of the funds to repay the guaranteed premium should P1 be a duster. Why would they take this funding on those terms if drilling to date had not being positive ?
