Directors buys great vote of confidence- EChem will be put back in their icebox! Reflected in sp as well over past weeks- hope I'm not too optimistic to see 60 before NY. Whichever way, think you guys will be good here in coming weeks/months- and... well done for holding through a tough patch! Best of luck, B
got it, cheers buddy. )
I still would've been in here if it wasn't for personal circumstances where I simply had to move funds. I don't think it was foolish of you to hold- at the time we all were of similar mindset- if we could've had todays hindsight back then, we'd all be millionaires! ) Many thanks for the confidence buddy, don't think i deserve really, still make many mistakes, but that's the way we all learn I guess. A good strategy could perhaps be not to hold any stock through thick and thin, but to sell at resistance levels and buy back in at support. Take SHFT for example on the weekly chart: http://screencast.com/t/Ku3MSweuR Again in hindsight.. the 100p mark was clearly the point to exit, yet at the time we were too positive to look at it that way, yet the Fib retracement tool was available and one could've payed more attention to it. At the moment I'm in the process of building up a "stock calendar" for 2013 where clear defined bull-phases repeats consistently at specific times of the year. SXX amongst others being a perfect example: http://screencast.com/t/KVnIiOupK6 The Idea is(subject to good research and broader market sentiment) to enter such stocks within that specific bull-windows only- and exit again. Just emailed Stach with 3 such stocks to get his take. Here is one of them with great potential imo, but still need to fully research it: http://screencast.com/t/aQzgPaGSnS 2012 wouldve made you a 170% if only invested for a total of 4 months of the year- I'd say that's major returns... not having to wait say 5 years within one stock riding the throughs and peaks out? Should you be interested we could exchange emails- or perhaps find an unused bb to share thoughts on. Atb and good luck! B
All good this side thanks man, thanks! ) I think price will hover at current levels(old support- circa 38- 40+p) till further news re the EC matter. Once that hurdle is cleared, we could see a pretty quick return to 58- 60p as the bad news hit at that level. ALL in all about 3 months imo back to 70/80p *provided* we get something positive re EC soon. Will mail you tonight with 2 more stocks which I've put on trading calender for Dec/Jan- which you can perhaps bounce off against your broker for his take on it. xant i think with an average off 44 you're not too bad positioned at the moment. A whiff of good news and you back in profit buddy! ) Talking about trading calender- I value your take/background on sxx... Do you think(fundamentally) we can look fwd to another rally next yr? All the best to all holders- really hope the EC issue gets resolved soon. SHFT is a top stock and doesnt deserve this levels at all. B
Keep an eye on RGD towards mid Dec for 1st quarter- see chart on bb
Will be back for another 100% mid Dec. http://screencast.com/t/ZSYfvIYP
The thing with a bottom is, double bottom or not- its rounded... lol. Actually meaning- a quick bounce back rarely happens, but it's a support level where price consolidates after a blow like this. So my guess is it may drop off a bit more with the momentum behind it- then once reality sets in, price will settle at circa old support of just under 40p waiting on news to break up again. Or, it could slowly start to creep up a bit over 40p, yet some confirmation is needed to push it back to previous levels. Sub 40p however stays imo a huge entry opportunity in a top stock! Jarnel, all good this side buddy, thanks. Apart from this mishap on SHFT I hope you're good as well? Unfortunately not in that 2 winners anymore, due to some personal circumstances I had to exit(with regret) most positions on LSE stocks, SHFT being one of them. But well done to you on LOGP and PVR! In hindsight, what excellent choices you made there. More into JSE stocks now, hence dual listed CZA- something perhaps to look into towards 2nd half of November- see reasoning behind on cza bb. xant buddy, dont think you need to look for that high building man! But when things like this happens I just realize again that a good strategy to follow on any stock is- get out when its high, back in when its low.. ride the bugger and stay with price! I know, much much easier said than done, but surely worth a try. I mean if you could ride the ups only on sxx? Thats my plan with cza- a cyclical stock that even in a long downtrend gave windows of 50%+ profit opportunities each winter when coal demand picks up in northern hemisphere. Atb guys, I really hope this rubbish with eurochem is short lived and price moves back up again. Good luck, B
The one share I regret not holding anymore. It's one of few in it's field with excellent fundamentals and a very competetent BOD, had some email correspondence with them in the past and pretty confident that they will be able to sort this Eurochem nonsense out. If fundamentals(more spesific- shares in issue and orderbook) are still the way it was, I dont see any reason for panic and believe SHFT will bounce back to respectable levels. Tech wise- Old trusted support has been broken with few buyers at present, so my guess is it could still go lower. Yet how low can it go? a few thoughts on chart. http://screencast.com/t/UqNJoj59IBvr Just keep in mind the fundamentals; all current projects going- representing the real SHAFT. Some opportunistic ruskies wont make a dent really med/ long term. This imo is an excellent entry/ top up opportunity next week below 40p. Best wishes to all holders, especially to old buddies Stach, Jarnel, xant14 and others- good luck guys, keeping an eye on price with you. Stach, top take posted Wed12:11- sums it all up really. xant14 our prediction on sxx played out quite well dnt you think? ) http://screencast.com/t/KVnIiOupK6 Just dug up an old SHFT summary on chart for what its worth. http://screencast.com/t/rL4Q4m0q Atb guys- and good luck for next week! B
thats actually part of the reason im trying to avoid the screen- one gets kinda absorbed by it and normal life goes by. atb for tomorrow buddy, I'm off for an early night )
Hi buddy, hows trading lately? I've actually "taken a break" but cant really stay away- should look for a place with no internet at all! lol
Jonc I'm with you re CZA, been buying on both LSE and JSE since yesterday, kept some on the table should it go lower, but I doubt- will see where it goes. Rumours: "Copper producers First Quantum and Kazakhmys Plc (KAZ), iron ore miners African Minerals as well as London Mining Plc and coal companies Adaro Energy and Coal of Africa are among possible takeover candidates, Liberum said." ..... "The price of building new projects means that in many cases it might be cheaper to acquire a company than build your own," Andrew Harrington, a resources analyst with Patersons Securities Ltd., said by phone. "The biggest ones would be coal, copper and gold, each of those three are trading at about a 30 percent discount to the commodity price." http://africainvestor.com/article.asp?id=10314 Bounced off all-time low, strong volume over past 4 days says RSI & MACD will push for positive territory.http://screencast.com/t/ff61XsxzI First target is 70p then 100 http://screencast.com/t/mdYRym1soRb thus imo a potential 100 or 200 percenter.
You just mentioned something we dnt always appreciate- we just take it as a given without thinking... and that is; "time has been spend trying to find them and i appreciate the effort " Say no more... Have a good night and GB B
Diamonds/producers are the new kids on the block.. could be wrong, but lets see....
Watch this space- in no particular order.. ) DQE - TSTR - MAGP - GKP - FRR - NAD - GEM - GEMD - SHFT - ATC - NCCL - ATC - CZA - BHR - SNRP - COOL - SRX - KMR - PAF - OTC - SHG - CEY - FML - AFF - FCR - CDC - AVM - AYM - WLFE - WAFM.. etc. Got more.. but for that you got to pay for up front... lol
RW - I've read your comments re grays, spot-on man! This/that/the other.. we make money or we lose it- each to his own- but we're making a difference to help eo making informed decisions- and that is exactly why we chose this bb to share thoughts on. It would really be a sad day when ME/YOU/JONC/ALL would solely trade on calls made on here. In the end we just risk our own money and we've got no-one to blame/applaude for failure or success. Simple as that.
You know what's nice about this bb..? when you dnt have the time to read up or check techs over tens+ of stocks- you just log on here to pick a few... Y'all of course noticed MAGP(thanks to my buddy Stach) that i mentioned a week ago? )
It's all about making a bit- you've proved yourself doing just that. So, no talking you up/down.. just stating the obvious. All the stocks we agreed on, we've made it- case closed. lol
AVN... very- very nice pennant forming, cheers man!
