Simplyme, i disagree that the price would drop as much and my rationale behind this is that the company is already valued with the debt in play and the uncertainty. you take this away with the backlog then i would argue that the business is worth more than the current suppressed value. Only my opinion though.

Looking at this from a distance , the share price is low due to the overhang of debt and uncertancy etc. When this was seen as reasonably risk free and debt not quite considered a high risk as it is at the now the share was approximately 90-120. So even if 50% of the business was issued as equity to cover the debt then i would argue that the share would then have a potential to be at least 45p / 50p . I suspect this could potentially be higher as the overhang of uncertainty would of been removed and the shorters would of migrated onto there next prey. That with the new contracts etc could see a good turn around for the business. This is my view however i have been stung before with similar situations so possible that i am just been optimistic.

Unfortunately i think that shorts have won for the short term as by shorting the stock so much it has spooked privrate investors. I imagine lots was burnt and will be put off re investing. This means that the shorts can reduce with minimal impact to the share price. The only thing i can see that will pump it up will be news. I havent sold mine and i have an average of £1.03 but it will be a long road back to thay so likely i will take a loss at some point. Such a shame that the news just dries up ahead of the financial update as it is now that we need a lift. Gla. Lets hope for some good news in the financial update .

Working is this type of industry all payments are to the contract, if they dont have to pay it for 60 days they wont.... not that it will effect petrofac. This is the bottom for sure and the only way is up in my opinion. Just need the results to land then a steady plod up ! Hopefully..

I really hope that december comes with a gift, the drop is unjustified to this extent. I do acknowledge that many of the investors are privrate for petrofac so perhaps people given the cost of living crisis have pulled out to maintain there lifestyles . I just hope that some bigger investment funds see this as a bargain and prop the share back up... and hope that the shorting attach stops.... i for one wont be selling as this company will go on and this will be a thing of the past in the next 12months... or i hope

In all honesty just a guess but i suspect that a dump from the mm causes a spell of traderders to dospose of shares.... thus meaning share value to devaluing before them to re buy them for less

Looks like a mm tree shake to me or we are unaware of somthing that has happened. Wish this thing would go back to a pound were it belongs in my opinion

It means more than the money, its confidence in the buisness to deliver. This is a head turner and institutions will all want a piece of the cake !

This is the problem when the bonds go to **** this echo though the market can make some serious cash but amother drop of bad news can sink some ! We need the bonds to recover !

I think the news is been held back until the new ceo is in place personally. Well thats what i am hopeing !

Does anyone know when the finial results will be poste please? i though that they would of been posted by now?

Any thoughts on the finial results in the next couple of days? I'm hoping for news to land on progression but not liking the game of snakes and ladders at the moment !
