I know who they bought, and that hasn't gone well for them. It's been an anchor rather than a benefit.

What is your DCF based on? What time period for predictions, terminal value etc?

Curious why so bullish on a company with too many risks and unknowns to predict a rise of 50p when nothing had been going up besides debt?

Flat revenue, falling free cashflows, rising debt, lowering cash in bank and a terrible USA acquisition which has reduced growth not increased it.

Even the company report doesn't go beyond about 2.5% growth forecast. You haven't even factored in the employment costs rising substantially for the next year, a trade war, a potential recession around the world.

You guys are entering unreasonable forecasts and making your valuation say what you want.

If you're valuing JD Sports based on cashflows, it's priced exactly where it's supposed to be. Unless this sees revenue growth and success with the US endeavours, then the price isn't going to be reaching £1.40 any time soon.

I suspect they're referring to the total debt figure which is at 33m. The management are listing themselves as effectively debt free, so it'll be very interesting to see the current balance sheet when the next earnings date arrives.

There's definitely a huge risk to this though with that negative shareholder equity. But it would be very nice to see this one recover as I actually enjoy going to the Wildwood Restaurants which I only became aware of post COVID lockdown. The food is good quality and literally tasty.

It seem like a business that expanded too quickly, didn't properly account for costs, and was able to raise decent sums through share issues previously and wasn't sure how to react when that funding option abruptly ended.
