Brutal day today and inflation and margins hammering the stock . Let’s hope for a very
Positive update in the morning . Best of luck to all holders
At least the boost today is clear . JP Morgan stays 'overweight' on Petrofac, says bid pipeline 'growing and accelerating' After a site visit last week.
Nacho as far as I was aware the deal was done last week in the context of WSP entering into a definitive agreement.
WSP to acquire the Environment & Infrastructure business of John Wood Group PLC. We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Environment & Infrastructure business of John Wood Group PLC
This has been priced in by the market . Next week back log and outlook is key .
Not sure why but after popping 160 on Monday I thought this would bounce back up quickly like Petrofac . Next week is a massive week
Pretty easy to find on petrofac web site . Well worth a listen especially Q&A at the end
Good podcast and I am pretty impressed . Let’s hope we can kick on Sami certainly came over very well . We need some big tender wins to really kick this on
Let’s hope next week we break out of our trading range . At the moment pre results this is capped at 160 . Good to see Aker and Hunting breaking out and moving higher. Let’s go wood next week I am expecting a far better update than that of petrofac . Different beast no debt being the big one .
In October this must be on track “ In the second half, subject to the outcome of commercial settlements, E&C expects to report a marginal EBIT profit.”
The count down is literally on folks , jam tomorrow only lasts so long , we need numerous project wins and a clear path to profitability by the end of October . This is a massive 6 months for both wood and petrofac . Lots of projects up for grabs . Time to hold and wait . In October the next update has to be more positive and if it not I am throwing in the towel as there is no hope
Jam tomorrow . I must admit the crappy low price reflects our current status. Nothing in the update the money men did not already know . Next update must show massive signs of improvement
WSP issued an RNS yesterday so yeah I though we would have too . Might be just waiting on next week .
Key paragraph” Last month, the world's largest oilfield services provider, Schlumberger, expressed a similarly optimistic view on offshore oil and gas drilling.
"The outlook for 2022, 2025 on offshore investments and FID activity will outpace visibly at 2016-2019 cycle. So we have early innings of this offshore cycle, but it's quite interesting," Schlumberger's CEO Olivier Le Peuch said on the earnings call in July.
Let’s hope tomorrow petrofac deliver
Great but I can’t work out why the share dropped 5.5 % on that news as implied by the various news updates. Seems odd I thought it would have went up . Hey ho
This week and next week are massive for Petrofac and Wood both massively undervalued . Fingers crossed the outlook and numbers are good and we break free higher . Re rate north well over due for both shares
“WPP posted positive results for the first half of 2022, but a lack of formal guidance for the year ahead in the face of economic uncertainty left analysts scratching their heads and led to an 8% drop in its share price.” Reported on the cube online. Not sure what more they could have done today let’s hope a better few months ahead which is not looking likely . If this dips below 800 next week after that update I will be flabbergasted . But hey ho I got today totally wrong
Goldman Sachs raises WPP price target to 900 (880) pence - 'neutral' . Price will bounce numbers were good
Not sure what I missed but ups guidance boosts divi 20% and share price drops like a stone.
I don’t think it is either the sale will go through and I hope to hell all skeletons are out . I side with the article and have no doubt this is undervalued . Next week watch petrofac and how the market reacts to there update.
Honest true account of Wood from a reputable top out fit . well worth a read if invested in Wood. https://www.google.com/amp/s/moneyweek.com/investments/stocks-and-shares/share-tips/605178/john-wood-group-needs-polish-but-has-plenty-of%3Famp
Petrofac results on the 11 then us . As per statement in woods last update “ Expect a stronger performance in H2 across all business units, supported by the higher order book” interesting to see if either break out of current trading range Petrofac starting to slowly climb higher and looks most likely . Next week will be a key indicator
