A leading manufacturer of flexible solutions (including cell contacting systems) designed for battery modules in electric vehicle manufacturing is looking for a Plant Launch Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful launch of new manufacturing plants or production lines.
The Plant Launch Engineer
Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to ensure consistent and efficient production.
Monitor project progress and performance metrics to track milestones, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select and procure equipment, tooling, and materials that meet quality standards and production requirements.
Lead the planning and execution of plant launches for new manufacturing facilities or production lines, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Coordinate site selection, facility layout, equipment procurement, and installation activities to support plant launch objectives.
The Project Engineer
Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.
Oversee the design, development, and testing of flex solutions, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Lead engineering projects focused on flex solutions for EV vehicle battery modules, including cell contacting systems for voltage and temperature control.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed engineering projects.
Document project specifications, procedures, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
The APQP Quality Engineer
Facilitate APQP activities such as risk assessment, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and control plan development to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks.
Support customer interactions, including participation in quality audits, responding to customer inquiries or concerns, and ensuring timely resolution of quality-related issues.
Develop and maintain project-specific quality plans, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, industry standards, and company objectives.
Provide quality engineering support throughout the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, from project initiation to production launch.
Participate in cross-functional project meetings, providing input on quality-related issues and driving resolution of quality concerns.
