I have been a shareholder for 30 years, a customer for 35 years. This year my full fiber BB is up for renewal. currently on halo 3 900 at £75 and three low data mobiles for £30. The best renewal price from BT exactly the same for another 24 months, or move to EE and save a £5,this will be more than eaten up by the mobile additional costs.

I have looked around and there are a plethora of offers most circa £35 for the same 900 speed. Plusnet a £100 gift card thrown in. The only problem will be finding appropriate mobile deals.

With these differentials how can any company expect to survive as a viable business. As others have stated the future will be Openreach, a massive reduction in staff and a very reduced BT.

This is old news, 5 years old. You should try to be more up to date other wise that bid will be half a decade old before you can celebrate.

Candid these statements you've made, show firstly arrogance, and your ignorance on network operations. Until the big copper switch off BT requires highly trained staff to meet its service obligations.

Yes they employ contractors for build, simple installs etc. but there is a big difference between a contractor with 2 months training and a engineer with 5+ years of experience. There are and I am sure for sometime to come, multiple instances that the own brew engineer will be required to save the day.

While it shouldn't matter I am not employed by BT now or ever.

Thank you for an insightful insight into your personal experience of home working. But I strongly disagree with your conclusions. I would like to read these studies you reference into the inefficiencies of working from home if you could provide a link to these I would appreciate it.

I began home working in 2017 and my personal experience is a polar opposite of what you have stated as the negatives. My productivity rose, my creativity improved, my relationships with my co-workers was more focussed and business related, I maintained social interactions with colleagues and with a greatly improved work life balance.

I agree that as a home worker you do have to be self disciplined and as with all things it's never a correct fit for everyone. But for those that do fit the gains far out weigh the negatives.
