@guy I disagree. You'd be an idiot to sell now. You have an ulterior motive.

WE KNOW:
-The test works well the trial proved that.
-It's shown to be cost effective (crucial for NICE)
-It's been selected for the flagship programme.
-Test was requested to be developed and supported by the NHS
-It will save 100s of babies from profound deafness each year in the UK. This will be a great picture for the NHS and politicians wanting a halo effect.

Why sell now when NICE news is a few days away. idiots!!

@trinity you raise some interesting points. The FDA can and do give broad label uses for anti infectives for example look up most antibiotics they are given according to class of bacteria not generally specific ones unless that was how the trial was designed. If a trial is designed to be broad and the FDA are consulted in the design (always a good idea) and the trial is positive then they will very much consider a broad label.

Saw this on the FDA. The stroke test we are employing could also be looked at for people who are to start on antidepressants. GPs could offer this as a way of seeing who will benefit.

@MrCosts are you sniffing glue? Synairgen are paying Ashfield for this person to work in synairgen. It's very common in pharma for companies to use Ashfield for staff particularly when they are going through a transitional period read into that what you will. Sure you've got a lovely spin on this.

Think the argument against steroids being used is its not standard of care in mild or moderate covid patients (or shouldn't be). I agree with what you're saying.

Do we know where the product is with the EMA or MHRA? If its passed either can it bought anywhere?

NICE is your answer @Franky. These machines are cost effective in that the cost of running 100s tests works out cheaper (and better for patients/families) than having a deaf baby to manage. Trusts aren't heartless and the Drs and nurses on these neonatal units will push for the tests. Don't forget the NHS asked GDR to develop the test. These see a need. The machines themselves aren't expensive or the tests especially when you look at the savings.

@Ghia it's an observational ie non interventional trial using Standard of care. Alas SNG001 isn't standard of care therefore it won't be used. Unless the situation changes whilst the trial is underway...
