I think that maybe key here they are waiting to see what this new strain actually is and how it going to pan out. If its found the vaccine will still be successful probably not a big deal. I for one would not want to be sat on the IAG board !
To be honest back in last year someone said to me this would happen across the board travel/airline prices would tank and if I'm honest i knew they would but not to this degree and maybe we haven't seen the worst yet ! However i do believe this will bounce back when the good feeling comes again around spring in my opinion. I am into this particular company in quite a big way in fact a very big investment to my level, I for one will be holding out for the good times ahead, lets face it all airlines cant go bust and this one I think would be a safer bet. I would definitely not be invested in the smaller airlines now. AIMO of course.
I think steady out of lock down from March, vaccines being promoted and taken, better weather around the corner so light at the end of the tunnel me thinks. In terms of IAG and other airline/travel companies yes I think they will bounce back over time but rocky road ahead that's for sure. Further restraints and conditions looming, I think everyone has had a gutful now !! The world is in a mess both economy and Peoples well being.
your logic was spot on I can see this moving sometime soon, i only found out over on another board that the US closed today. One thing after another !!
I thought the US was closed today due to a holiday (MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY ) ??
I realize people have different needs but investing is surely about deciding on what your potion is ! With this particular share within the next 3 months i would suggest this will see a good rise so I do not understand people selling at this early stage of the recovery. Just my thoughts.
That would be a game changer if successful.
kenswayken-thanks for the reply that’s also our thoughts we won’t be booking or considering booking without prior knowledge about disembarkation issues, we only have one booked now that’s been booked for 18 months that’s the 55 night in jan 2022 on Arcadia . Can’t wait to receive our book with new destinations .
3cardbrag- I hope your sailing goes ahead in May ! Can I ask you and any other cruisers how you feel about excursion only when disembarking in ports ? We do now and again do an excursion but mainly we do our own thing ! Just interested in thoughts about this
Kenswayken - I agree with the statement about aurora and arcadia, we have sailed many times and had a few cancelled this/last year. 2022 we are due to sail on the USA & South America for 55 nights building up to a world cruise , I have a strong feeling this wont be going ahead also. How we miss the cruising scene.
