Does any have any updates from RB or Ivy? Can't see no news for any update since friday, e.g. this is definitely not resuming trading etc
Hi all,
Just checked my HL app and CNEL shares have disappeared, as in... before, when they transferred to hkex it showed the last shares/amounts I had for CNEL on the app. Now however, it just shows CNEL with no shares/amount. Will try ring HL to see if any updates have finally happened. Has any HL users noticed the same on their app?
What i've taken from that is, that they've suspended withdrawing certificates (although I didn't ask to withdraw, I emailed them to ask what is happening with the certificates from CNEL)... unless they meant that they've suspended the service for that department e.g. no-one working that area to retrieve these for us. Not sure if anyone else can shed some light?
This is what i received yesterday in my inbox on my HL app..
"Dear Mr ......
Thank you for your email.
We’ve made a difficult decision to temporarily suspend a small number of our services, including the service you’re looking for, withdrawal of share certificates. We looked at services which are used less frequently and different ways to provide them but where that wasn’t possible, they were suspended.
We’ll continue to review whether we can reinstate the services we’ve suspended. However it’s unlikely all services will return at once. We’ll make sure our dedicated Coronavirus webpage is updated as soon as any services return.

Scotlouie you're right, possibly may start one in the future as a back up page if anything deletes here.
I do feel like we've built a solid community/team here so if there are future rampers, we'll know. Likewise will dip in and out, see how everyone is etc. Other then that see you all at the finish line!
also should we create a fb page? Or something similar outside of this chat? Because I tried to search cnel on the finder icon on this site today and for some reason it didnt show up as usual, i'm not sure if it was a glitch, but also thinking if lse do decide to remove cnel from its bb, we should try another platform to keep in contact?
Hi all, just a thought following my post back in early june.
Don't know the reasons behind the downward trend, but again ive seen many IPO's go in high then decrease...at least thats what I see on HL graphs with companies (say those that have come in within the last 5 years).
Again no real evidence/reasons to back up this theory, but most graphs ive seen on HL where a company enter the market high then decreases/plummets is not unusual (of course cnel is a different case - but it looks like it followed the same trend)
Is anyone with HL? Just to clarify its around £200 (by telephone) if you want to trade these shares on HKex and will be held by HSBC there. RNS states you have today to be the first to receive your new shares (or rather hl to receive them to pass to you) or 14th july for second option or if you're holding long term, can do nothing and get the new shares sent after 14th july. All, please correct me if i'm wrong incase i'm giving out incorrect info.
Thanks for the below topmoney... Can someone kindly point me in the right direction for other ethonal companies and their tickr on HKex? I know for example Jilin, but struggling to find others...
Also as a side note (coz I personally don't want to get to hyped up/jinx things) ..the 11p wouldn't technically be a gaurentee...Cnel would still need to raise a price for the market cap circa HK500m? Minimum, if they fail to do so the listing will be off. Us UK investors still need to understand there are still associated risks once on the listing..This is from my understanding, feel free to tear my research apart...
Hi all,
Fingers crossed the HK listing happens etc.
However if it does happen, just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on whether they would sell or keep.
Reason I ask is because doing some research i see that some shares that get introduced/put on a listing, start high (presumably because of a minimum entry e.g. 11p on hk listings) then they plummet back down...and then of course over the coming weeks/months/years they (hopefully) start to rise again - so would make sense to sell at listing then buy back if they go down? Of course there are some shares that enter and never drop, in that sense, would be better to hold on to them.
I hope you read this as a genuine question/after thoughts if HK listing happens and what people would do and not see it as speculation/deramping/ramping or anything other than thoughts and opinions. GLA
Hi all, thanks for the insights! I've had a read and still continue to keep a close eye on this stock! Yes my view also is to hold on to this stock for many years.
Davey please do let us know as I dont think i'll be able to listen in also. Look forward to hearing back!
Hi all,
I've bought in since Jan 2020 after doing research etc.
Just wondering everyone's thoughts on Chi-Med for the future. How long is everyone thinking of holding this stock for?
Couple of thoughts -
it's biggest investor/backer is 91 years old...
They have 8(?) Drugs being trialled worldwide...
And today an NDA acceptance of savo
Should we invest more?
Of course the above topics and decisions are all opinions and everyone should do their own research but a discussion here may open any research that may have been missed...
Hi Millsm,
Yes duely noted, have done some research before hence some buy in for Cnel, however as a new investor i'm sort of researching and learning (words/definitions/situations) at the same time, so bit of a steep learning curve for me. Reading through the comments on here I was just confused on what the potential HK move meant. But thanks for clarifying the minimum entry price! Much appreciated, learnt something new!
Hi,
Thanks all, yes sounds like I missed the bus, a lesson learnt, look forward to progressing from this!
Thanks again for everyone's input! Much appreciated
Hi all, new to investing, I'm a small time investor and was looking at Hyve this past month as a stock to purchase, I was waiting for pay day (today) to buy. When I came on I noticed it jumped from 18p to £1.08. Reading through the comments I understand its because of consolidation (which i just read up on) and also because today/yesterday was last rights issue date. Couldn't find anywhere online that taught/advised on what to do when consolidation and rights issue's end date happens at the same time, it was an explanation of either one or the other, not both together.
So my question is... is it kind of late now for me to buy? Or can i buy in at £1.08 and hold to see gains when Hyve get back into the swing of business etc?
Thanks!
Hi fairly new to investing, upon research (in diversifying my portfolio) I took a punt with Cnel. I remember the message with regards to moving the stock to HK. Should I be buying more of this stock? Now that is moving to HK? (I understand Answers here are just based on opinion etc) just a bit confused if moving to HK listing is good or bad. Thanks
