A SIPP is a great place to put an AIM share that has the possibility of multibagging! The taxman gives you extra money to buy even more shares. Would balance this with a high % of managed funds to offset risk.

Don't risk what you can't affford to lose particularly if you are close to retirement!

Depending on the price and how much you have invested, the taxman could take a sizeable chunk. Always take advantage of tax shelters such as ISA and SIPP even if it means selling and rebuying.

A raising would likely only follow good news (and a possible rise in SP). Why else would an institution invest (even if at a discount)!

A raise through share issue is not their only means of raising cash.
