In here at 0.268p. Been soooooo asleep and been thinking opportunity cost of just hanging on what with GGPdoing well and some others coming to life - what if this just doesn't wake up in the next 6 months and miss the boat elsewhere? Further GGP rises may actually have a knock-on effect here, I reckon. Good to see these chunky buys today and hopefully some better volumes coming here now....
Been out of shares for about 8 years but back in the game now, following the market crash. This caught my eye yesterday and bought in on minimal research. Will do some more research shortly! Thanks for the post - interesting stuff and some keywords that will help me research further. Cheers. :)
lol...I have no reason to deramp..I have averaged down once already, not doing it again. If you look at my posts all the way back to 2010 you will see I have always been mega-optimistic until very recently. Anyway, whatever, GL with your position.
Can't see a 750k buy??? 2016 is now earliest date for product release. Money runs out this year. Best case scenario =successful fund raising and big dilution. Worst case=no funding, no more Ceres. Sadly, this is the reality IMHO.
not Thave!
2 years ago when I first invested they had about £60m in the bank. They do not pay their staff, heat and light their buildings etc on fresh air. £18m will not last them until the end of the year. Thave stated themselves that they will need more funding by Q3 this year. Will it be forthcoming? I am hopeful but its not guaranteed and price reflects the negative sentiment. I
They will run out of money by Q3 this year if they can't raise any more; they have most recently put back their product release date to 2016 having been making empty promises that have come to nothing for years. I am still holding on a wing and a prayer as the potential remains very good, plus there is no point in cashing in what little value my shares still have. However, the fact is that this company has failed to deliver anything worthwhile during the entire 2 years I have been invested here and well before that time. I am sat on a 90%+ loss. For some reason I'm still vaguely optimistic but the fact is they may not get any more funding and they may go bust this year
Newsflow seems to be improving with David Pummell at the reigns. Volumes still low, market doesn't have faith or even care...yet. Been in here for nearly 2 years now. Feeling quite hopeful although despite averaging down I am well down on paper.
Nice quote from the new quy. "I studied the technology before my appointment and I believe the Ceres fuel cell technology has significant and unique advantages, which best position Ceres to deliver mass market commercialisation. I am therefore both delighted and excited to have joined Ceres Power at such an important time and I look forward to applying my experience to help support and drive forward the product programme to meet Ceres' business goals."
Average now 38p. At these prices this is a potential 100 bagging share over the long term imho. Current market cap is half of the cash position valuing everything else at nothing. The risk comes with the funding over the next few years. Will banks lend, will there need to be a placing? However, imo that risk is reduced with today's good news re:the product. - future funding much more likely to flow when the ongoing issues are finally fixed and potential investments are derisked. Those who have been here a long while will probably like this bit the best... "We believe that the results of these accelerated stress tests are indicative of operating start-stop regimes in excess of a 5 year period. This represents a substantial improvement in cell durability and resolves the power degradation issues witnessed in the in-home trials last year."
Who's still in here then! I haven't sold a single share. Average 77p. Stiff Upper Lip Stylee.
...like a mug :(.
Disaster=selling at a massive loss when potential remains huge and news flow is positive. I am basically in agreement with nightwatchman on this. It's hurting short term but then I never got in for the short-term so in a way it's irrelevant....sticking it out until product launch and beyond, rightly or wrongly.
"The road has been long - more than a decade since the initial concept was born - and it has taken £100 million investment to reach this stage. On the brink of commercialization, the company’s future is still not certain, but the potential benefits and scale are both exciting and vast."

Mikey what did you do!? ;) Found this one hard to read..another setback to the price. However FT had this to say.. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/e0fea8fe-969b-11e0-baca-00144feab49a.html#ixzz1PHxM9N4O Ceres Power dropped 8.1 per cent to 37p following the sudden departure of chief executive Peter Bance. However, analysts said the resignation was not something to be unduly concerned about. Morgan Stanley reckoned it was an opportunity for Ceres to add significant new management experience. ”We would look for an appointment of a new CEO with a track record in commercialising innovative technology products and a operational delivery. Our discussions with the company clearly suggest this is the current focus,” it said.
Been here over 12 months and in heavy since February. Never been so happy to be 26% down on a share!!! Sometimes you should cut your losses but sometimes holding through the bad times can be the right strategy. LP 55 / 56. Well done to anyone one who got in sub 40p or even sub 30p...you got yourself a steal!!!
Mikey I wonder if they read your post yesterday!
Well pi$$ed off. My worst investment on paper...can't win em all I guess. I still believe in these longterm but my enthusiasm is pretty downtrodden now given the price. :(. Mikey-sorry been really busy but will dig out your email when I get a minute and drop you a line..hope ur good.
Hiya mate..yes been a long while..sold my BPC at a very decent profit and cleared nearly all my debts, then got lucky with SAR and made a few grand in a couple of days..man that felt good! Since then not had much luck though. Bought back into RKH at 330p and am well down but still holding...then there is good old Ceres which is now my main holding...gutted about the price but as I've said I'm not too worried. Got £100 on WET as a gamble too! Wish I'd held onto MATD...meant to buy back in there but missed the boat a bit..still got my eye on it but no money to invest really! How's tricks with you?
