CP, what did you expect? A director of one company makes a thoroughly irresponsible comment about another and the share price collapses by almost 20%. If you were CEO of BCN, how would you react?
Put the boot on the other foot: Secker gets up on his hind legs and says he expects KDNC to be out of cash within the next few months. Do you think your board would be jumping for joy?
I reckon KM made his comment to force an sp collapse in order to make the sale of 4.5m shares at 25p look better.

In other words; "piss-off and keep your mouth shut".
Any pretence of 'good relations' went out of the window ages ago, but I rather suspect it's daggers drawn now.

You'd put good money on the seller being KDNC, but I wouldn't rule out one of the others. You do wonder if Mr Genius at KDNC made his comments because he had already negotiated the sale at 25p and wanted to appease his shareholders by trying to prove that he'd achieved a fair price.
2.5m of those shares were bought in the market; were they all private investors, or was the company's broker working it through the system on behalf of one or more of the other large shareholders? As it stands, there remains 1.5m shares with the market makers, which is a high number for this company.
In any event, we can anticipate an RNS revealing all.

ATG, what's all this tosh about fund raising? As I said earlier, we've known about it for years. The resolution simply gives the authority. Mind you, at this ridiculous price, they may need greater authority.
Today's events, in my opinion, demand a statement from Secker tomorrow. Sadly, he's never been that good at the communications thing and therefore, I shan't be holding my breath.

On a normal day, this number of buys would have pushed the share price up by at least 10p.
We'll get an announcement as soon as Secker has finished pummelling the crap out that eejit at KDNC.

Sorry, I should add a caveat. It will be difficult to get any like-for-like comparison for next year because we will be raising cash, paying fees and then moving into construction phase (hopefully) Therefore, there will be significantly larger movements, both positive and negative.

Ivy, we've known about dilution since Day 1...how else do you fund such a large project? Rice Krispies? This is not news.

This is an act of self-harm equivalent to standing outside in a lightening storm with a conductor rod strapped to your back. Thoroughly irresponsible and quite possible in contravention of several AIM rules. He needs to bear in mind he is the representative of a major shareholder in BCN and not some bb punter like the rest of us.
I seriously hope Secker is marching round to the KDNC office (assuming the useless pillock KM actually attends on a Monday) with a set of knuckledusters.

Gman, however unpalatable, sell. Only people who don't understand how these situations work are buying.
Should they get a deal away at, for the sake of argument, 1p, and if you believe in the company, that would be the time to buy. My view is that this sector is absolutely broken and I wouldn't touch a single company in the space.

Bottmzup, there's no reason why our share should be affected, but I think this week is going to be a turbulent one for the London market. I most certainly wouldn't want to be holding UK banks or builders at the moment.
Let's hope the worst that happens is that we maintain last week's marginal improvement.

but interesting anecdote (at least for me)
On Wednesday, for the first time, I got in an electric London cab and I asked the driver about his experience.
He said he was the among the first twenty cabbies in London to buy one. 18 months later there are now 2000 out of a total fleet of approximately 25 000 (his figures, not mine)
He told me the payback was much quicker than a conventional cab and that his fuel costs had dropped from about £40 per day to £4. He also said the pace of take-up, particularly amongst the younger drivers, is growing rapidly. He envisages that within a couple of years there will be no diesel cabs left.
I must say, I enjoyed the ride and it was far more comfortable than an old growler.
This confirmed the exponential rate of growth within our market and I remain wholly convinced that certain commentators have wildly underestimated the change...particularly people like Morgan Stanley. The most important next step in this country is for the government to get its finger out to ensure that there are sufficient charge points.

FR, I asked you yesterday what you thought the implications are of your assumptions.
I'm assuming that, given the fact you think the average grade is so low, this will not be an economic project? Or does it become marginal? Or simply that it's not as good as people think? Or is this a misrepresentation of your view?
There was clearly a reason for you raising this question and I guess that having reached your own conclusion, you will no longer invest here?
And just out of interest, how do you square your opinion off against the views of all analysts, every market commentator, BHP(plus other investors) and our board of directors?
I have absolutely no wish to get into a heated debate with you, but would like to understand what conclusions you have drawn as a result of your research.
