Quady, broadly speaking I happen to agree with you about the political situation, although I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a "high level functioning democracy". It's better than some but still has problems.
The key here is economic imperative; it has no choice other than to support the industry. It has very little else to offer and is in a dire situation. Self-preservation will dictate the outcome and we're here to help!

INV clearly feel it's worthwhile informing the market and I think their approach is correct. We had to wait an age before NM decided to inform us last time around and the delay caused much uncertainty.
A simple statement would be most welcome.
By the way, there's always an assumption that if a referendum was held, mining would be rejected. Is this really the case? We all know the economic benefits to the locality are huge and would people really turn down the opportunity for stable and long term employment; plus all the associated community benefits?

It appears from this that we are in the clear. I know we've issued a statement previously on this subject, but I feel another one today would be justified. We need absolute clarity.

Jerry, I added another 100k this morning with no problem and got them at a sub-ask price.

I sold my shares over a two day period and have reaped my largest ever gain on a share. My decision was based purely on my own circumstances and assessment and in no way was I 'manipulated' by the market. Obviously, I accept some people may have been, but i'm sorry to say, that's just the way things work - it's a brutal world.
My decision may turn out to be a mistake, but the gain was so significant I simply couldn't risk it.

It's simply a case that I happen not to share the view of a long term future as an independent company. If that makes me "negative", so be it.

BHP have been constrained by an agreement not to act in a hostile manner - this agreement expires on October 15th. It's inconceivable they will not buy what is the largest copper discovery for years - and that doesn't even take into account the gold, silver and multiple other concessions.
Not without its risks, but a great deal of value to be had if the predictions from brokers, corporate financiers and the industry are to be believed.

It has never made sense to me that any organization would announce in advance that they were going to be in the market for large numbers of shares on a particular day.
