Alessandro ASOS is not a competitor to JD Sports, it is a near bankrupt fast fashion online-only 'store' has been that relies on discounts, and even if they were they were competing, which they don't, they would do so against less than 25% of JD's revenue. Your post shows you don't understand the company, nor the market, and it is a good thing you aren't invested.
Bazza and his convenient thoughts on a company with 4800 stores in varying geographies in vary demographics being 'about right' in the 80s, what a mastermind, he won't give you his calculations, but trust him, he knows! Your comment on the shares being 'diluted' because there are a high number of shares gave me a good chuckle. Cutting a pizza into a hundred slices, and giving you 50 of those does not mean you get less pizza than cutting it into two pieces and giving you one of them, the same is true for shares in a company.
