It's important to separate the company's short term share price from the company's long term p prospects.
Despite the paucity of detailed information yesterday, the latter is on course. Getting a drug to market takes time, time, time and money. And the process has to be followed. There are no shortcuts except ones that lead to litigation for negligence and fraud.
A regards the share price, the Federal Reserve has just signalled that a pivot to rate cuts is likely in 2024 and the US took off, with small biotech stocks going up a lot. The UK markets usually follow the US lead so we may soon see confidence in small loss-making tech companies return and the Avacta share price rising on the back of that. And that may consequently focus the acquisitive mindset of Big Pharma.
