I bought in a while ago as it does seem really undervalued. There has been a constant stream of buys almost everyday for the past couple of weeks but the sp has'nt reflected this yet, so maybe just a matter of time. Also, the Market Makers seem to be playing with the spread a lot, at one point it was 19/20 then 16/20 then 17.5/20 and now 17/18 - so spread has narrowed. I would say now may be a good time to buy, but of course DYOR.

Can anyone recommend a trustworthy online broker? For my sins I currently use Hoodless Brennan who have repeatedly let me down by failing to provide a reliable service. I recently lost hundreds of pounds due to the fact that their online service was down and when I resorted to trading by phone all phone lines were down as well. This total loss of service cost me hundreds but it could easily have been thousands. I raised a formal complaint with Hoodless who told me that under their terms of service I could not receive compensation and they denied that their phone service was unavailable the morning of the attempted trade (which it most obviously was). If anyone experienced problems trading on Friday the 1st of May 2009 by phone – let me know by e-mail (apis3@hotmail.com). In the meantime if anyone can recommend a worthwile service, please let me know. Cheers!

News just out, WHO is to raise their pandemic alert to level 6!! I expect this may have a hugely positive effect on PURI and Lipoxen tomorrow.

Yes, I did thanks - and sold. I think at 45 they may be here for a few more weeks before the next move - the recent move up seems due to good results from their businsess exchange centres. Anyway, the profit has been allocated to Camec, time will tell whether that's also a good call - currently oversold so a good 20% to be had by monday/tuesday I reckon. On the property side QED I think is still worth a punt.

I've been trawling round this sector after making some stella gains on QED, EFD and IPI. Take a look at MWB, another REIT compay - seems very attractive with an NAV of £2.20 and trading at .25p. They attracted my interest just recently with a 25% rise over the past week and are still pretty close to their all time low. My feeling is that take off is imminent - what do you all think?

Cool 250k purchase went through just before close of £62.5k. Does anyone know anything about this company - apart from a large property portfolio seems they own a majority stake in Liberty Int. which are doing quite well? A NAV of £2.20 and a share price one tenth of that - looks like it could be a screaming buy. Any opinions?

Share up on light buying over the past few days, looks like the MMs are keen to lift this one . Perhaps plenty more room for a rise on this one - 70p @ start of 2009!

post from oxonoxon on iii site.... Spoke to the company today: No news released as they still don't know exactly what's happening with the well and don't want to circulate rumours. Long delays caused by time taken to get specialist machinery and men on the ground and the fact that they can apparently only do whatever they are doing during daylight hours. They will update as soon as there is any concrete news.

I read from some knowledgable contributor on the boards at interactive investor that within 700m of TD there should be a significant increase in hydrocarbons if the well is not a duster. If this is true then IPL must surely be smelling the money now - or not as the case may be. Lets hope those nostrils are full of hydrocarbons rather than dusty desert air!

Presumably if you have bought already you are aware of the risk/reward ratio. Why sell? Even if it was a duster there are the other wells which could still return a handsome profit -so all would not be lost. For those thinking of buying in if the results are positive - I don't see this as the increase will be rapid and buying anywhere near the current price will be impossible. For those not in already then perhaps a strategy would be to pile in now and top slice as the share ramps up on another panic buy before end of this month - reckon we may see 85-90p, possibly even more, before feb. DYOR.

Or.. you could Invest in some Indago petroleum (IPL)! 72p a share but could be between 10-20 pounds a share if their well comes up good!. They are expecting to reach terminal depth begining of Feb - apparently a 3-1 chance of striking gas/oil - higher than average.

Sorry to hear about your investment, sincerely hope the loss won't damage your finances too much. Take heart though, you're not alone, we've all lost out on these boards at some point. May be worth taking a look at blinkx, sp quite low at the moment and the company looks to have a bright future - please DYOR of course.
