Sir Warren East is one of the UK’s most prominent engineering and technology executives. He is widely respected for leading two of the country's most important technology and engineering giants: 

ARM Holdings (2001–2013): As CEO, he transformed ARM from a niche semiconductor design company into a global giant. Under his watch, ARM’s low-power chip designs became the industry standard, powering virtually all modern smartphones (including the early iPhones). 

Rolls-Royce (2015–2022): As CEO, he took on the mission to modernize the aerospace giant, restructuring the business and steering it through the massive disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic. He heavily prioritized shifting the company toward a net-zero future, including testing hydrogen combustion in jet engines. 

He was awarded a CBE in 2014 and received a Knighthood in 2025 for his services to the technology industry.

ITM Power's agreement with Rheinmetall is specifically tied to the Giga PtX project. This initiative centres around building a Europe-wide network of decentralised synthetic e-fuel production plants utilising ITM's PEM electrolysed technology to supply NATO armed forces. 

Rheinmetall's stock plunged significantly (by nearly a fifth) following the procurement fiasco. But the Giga PtX project is aimed at long-term energy resilience and sovereign fuel capabilities for NATO, which remains a core strategic. The cancellation of heavy machinery projects like the F126 frigate highlights a shift in defense priorities toward alternative logistics and next-generation technologies. Energy autonomy via e-fuels directly aligns with these modern national security and infrastructure demands.

MIKODX - This hardly ever creeps, it bounces. The space related stocks took or are taking a hit in general. I’m guessing profit taking. As for FTC, it’s had a meteoric rise but what I didn’t like reading was that they’ll be doing less with their largest customer, meaning SpaceX. Right now it’s Vegas given the P/E unless they can grow revenue with big orders .

I cannot believe this is so cheap and there’s no one else here. 😂 $20-25 in a month is my guess.

Addicknt, looking at the newspapers like the FT, Guardian and Independent, is where get to that conclusion? I’m only going with their general consensus. It would seem to the highly likely outcome but it’s not going to happen immediately. Labour needs a reshuffle, visit their working class roots to beat Reform. This is their best shot, Burnham PM and Miliband on his arm. Anything is better than Rachel in accounts😂

The £86m is in the bank right so what’s the conclusion here? It’s a given that Miliband will become Chancellor of the Exchequer if Burnham comes in. Even more power at number 11, win win for Hydrogen.
