Wood Group Provides Update On US Onshore Shale Work

Wed, 04th Sep 2013 06:49

LONDON (Alliance News) - Wood Group (WDGJF.PK, WG.L) announced that its activities to support oil & gas production from shale fields in the US are growing, with annualized revenue totaling approximately $500 million. The company said this growth supports its outlook for 2013 shale activities and is being driven primarily by two of Wood Group's businesses, Wood Group Mustang and Wood Group PSN.

Wood Group PSN, specialists in brownfield production services, now employs 1,900 people across the US shale market. Wood Group Mustang now has around 600 employees. Wood Group PSN increased its presence in the US shale markets in 2012 with the acquisitions of Duval and Mitchell's, in the Eagle Ford and Bakken shale regions, respectively. Wood Group Mustang's shale-related work is performed at four locations in the US; and in Calgary, Canada; and Bogota, Colombia.
