Wintershall CEO- Ukraine crisis won't scupper Gazprom deal

KASSEL, Germany, March 13 (Reuters) - BASF oiland gas unit Wintershall on Thursday rejected any suggestionthat the Ukraine crisis would scupper an agreed asset-swap dealwith Gazprom that would give Russia greater access togas trading and storage in Germany.

Wintershall Chief Executive Rainer Seele said the companieshad all the necessary approvals and the arrangement was now onlya matter of operational implementation.

"I see no impact from the Ukraine crisis on the process," hetold a news conference.
