Ted Baker chairman John Barton dies

(Sharecast News) - Luxury clothing retailer Ted Baker said on Monday that 77-year old chairman John Barton had died.
Ted Baker stated Barton, who was "a source of great wisdom" for many, will be replaced by Helena Feltham on an interim basis, with immediate effect.

Feltham said: "John combined a generosity of spirit with insight, humility and humour and we will all miss him. He led the board with great skill and it was a privilege to have worked with him. Our hearts go out to his family."

EasyJet, which Barton headed up for almost nine years, also said it was "shocked and extremely saddened" to hear of his sudden passing.

As of 0835 GMT, Ted Baker shares were up 0.29% at 109.01p.
