Tue, 07th Jun 2022 10:39

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Photo-Me International PLC, up 8.9% at 76.80 pence, 12-month range 55.70p-79.70p. The photo booth operator says it has performed above expectations in the first six months of financial year 2022, following a progressive recovery in demand for vending services. For six months to April 30, revenue was up 24% compared with the same period a year earlier. Looking forward, expects revenue for the year ending October 31 to be up at least 20% on financial 2021 levels. Further, it expects pretax profit to be in the range of GBP47 million to GBP50 million, up from GBP28.6 million in financial 2021.

----------

STV Group PLC, up 1.7% at 301.00p, 12-month range 290.00p-385.00p. The Scottish broadcaster wins recommission from Channel 4 for a second season of prison drama Screw.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Ted Baker PLC, down 20% at 109.60p, 12-month range 79.60p-177.40p. The fashion retailer was informed by its preferred bidder late Monday that it does not intend to proceed with an offer for the company. The bidder, whom Ted Baker hasn't named, indicated that its reason for not proceeding was not linked to its due diligence review of the company, Ted Baker explains. The London-based seller of clothing and accessories says it will now go back and look at other proposals received as part of its formal sale process, but there can be no certainty that an offer will be made.

----------

NewRiver REIT PLC, down 5.8% at 93.80p, 12-month range 70.00p-101.60p. The retail property investor says its net asset value fell annually and it underperformed its benchmark. The real estate investment trust's net asset value per share drops 10% to 135 pence at its March 31 year end, from 150p a year ago. Total return for the year stood at 7.5%, below the MSCI All Retail benchmark which returned 15%.
