SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Zotefoams sees record third quarter sales

Wed, 03rd Nov 2021 11:14

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Zotefoams PLC, up 14% at 412.00 pence, 12-month range 350p-499p. The industrial plastics maker reports record third quarter sales performance, with revenue up 11% year-on-year and surging 35% on 2019. Expects full-year revenue and profit in line with market expectations. "We have been greatly encouraged by the return of strong underlying demand across most of our industry segments, although continued Covid and supply chain disruption has hampered markets such as automotive, aviation and footwear products," says Chief Executive David Stirling.

----------

Esken Ltd, up 7.8% at 13.80p, 12-month range 12.06p-39.5p. Revenue for six months to end of August rises to GBP51.7 million from GBP48.0 million year-on-year, while pretax loss narrows to GBP12.5 million from GBP16.0 million. Has GBP90.5 million of liquidity available at the half-year, ahead of management expectations. Expects Stobart Energy will achieve full-year earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation in range of GBP18 million to GBP20 million and is well placed to build on this performance. "The easing of travel restrictions due to the successful roll out of the Covid-19 vaccination programme means the outlook for aviation is becoming more positive," it says.

----------

International Personal Finance PLC, up 2.1% at 137.8p, 12-month range 58.2p-158p. The home credit business reports "very strong operational performance" in third quarter, with 35% increase in credit issued year-on-year. Also delivers an 8% increase in closing receivables since the year end at constant exchange rates. "We expect this growth trend to continue for both credit issued and receivables in the final quarter of the year which will, in turn, drive further revenue growth," it says.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Hostmore PLC, down 2.6% at 130.12p. Stock opened at 153p on Tuesday after being spun-off from Electra Private Equity. Hostmore operates popular Fridays restaurant, which was previously branded as TGI Fridays - an American-themed casual dining brand.
