SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Marston's rebounds after leisure sell-off

Tue, 20th Jul 2021 11:02

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Marston's PLC, up 2.5% at 80.17 pence, 12-month range 36.04p-105.5p. Stock recovering after 4.1% drop on Monday, as London-listed travel and leisure stocks wobbled in the face of surging coronavirus cases. Monday's falls came despite 'freedom day' in England, which saw remaining social distancing measures withdrawn. Pub peers Mitchell's & Butlers PLC and JD Wetherspoon PLC up 1.8% and 0.6% respectively.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Home REIT, down 2.0% at 110.25p, 12-month range 99p-117p. The investor in accommodation to the homeless is mulling potential future share issue to finance acquisitions from investment pipeline. "Based on the identified pipeline and the discussions already underway, the Company believes that the net proceeds of any issue of equity would be substantially invested within approximately 3 to 6 months of admission," it says.
